Ownership

True Father talks a lot about ownership. In Korean, the word he uses is ... which can mean master, lord or owner. In essence, I understand an owner to be someone in a subject position over something else. He rules it or has dominion over it. To be a true owner is one of the three great subject ideologies that True Father asks us to fulfill. It's connected with being a true teacher and a true parent.

So to be an owner doesn't mean that you "own" something as is thought of in the secular world. It does not mean that you "paid" for it with your cash or credit card. True ownership is when you can stand as a true subject partner representing God in relation to the object.

For me to possess true ownership over the car I drive I should possess true love for every element of the car. There should be nothing about the car that I hate or am angry about. I shouldn't compare the car to other cars, but love it for what it is. The same principle applies to all material possessions. I should truly enjoy the company of my possessions. At the same time, I should take good care of them, cleaning and maintaining them properly. There should be nothing sticking out in my conscience when I think of the particular material possession in question.

I understand true ownership to be connected to fulfilling the third great blessing that God gave to Adam and Eve.

Part of true ownership is that what is "mine" is not really mine but it is something I am borrowing for the time I am on the earth. True Father has shown the example of freely giving what is "his." The more he gives, the more he is given. And he is in the position of true owner over all the things he "owns."

This concept of true ownership is also connected to the idea of restoring the world to God's dominion or God's sovereignty. From a single individual that God has ownership or dominion over, a family, clan, tribe, nation and world under God's dominion should appear. God has dominion over True Father and Father never fell and instead attained individual perfection, or total oneness with God. From that point, he could spread the heavenly lineage in any way that God allowed, slowly but surely establishing a family, clan and tribe under God's dominion.

For a long time, Father has endeavored to establish a nation under God's dominion. Cheon Il Guk was proclaimed and established spiritually in 2002. By Jan. 13, 2013, it must take substantial form. [The rest of this paragraph is my opinion:] The Boon Bong Wangs will be the ambassadors of Cheon Il Guk to each nation of the world, and the Abel UN, or True Parents' UN, will be the international organization with Cheon Il Guk as the central nation. Ambassadors for Peace will represent the Abel UN around the world. Cheon Il Guk will be lead by True Parents, and later by Hyung Jin Nim's couple.

Each Blessed Family pledges as owners of Cheon Il Guk. That logically means that each Blessed Family should take a subject position toward the nation of Cheon Il Guk. I take that to mean that each Blessed Family must work to expand Cheon Il Guk.

Father has said on several occasions that there must be a ceremony to return ... (right of possession) to God after Jan. 13, 2013. Through that ceremony, our material possessions will no longer belong to Satan but to God. In the ceremony, we will offer our possessions to God and then receive them back from God. In my understanding, that will be possible on the foundation of the establishment of God's sovereignty in 2013.

Father had also said that we have entered an age in which God will rule via heavenly law. In the past, God worked through restoration through indemnity. That means that bad things had to happen to good people, and they had to overcome them, for God to be able to claim those people. In the age where God rules by heavenly law, good people are awarded by Heaven while evil people are punished by Heaven (though collective and hereditary indemnity still apply).

Probably the most important aspect of ownership is our ownership over our sexuality. In other words, we must allow God to have absolute dominion over our sexual organs. This means that we must be in the absolute subject position over our sexuality, meaning that we have total control/dominion over our desires. The greater our dominion over our sexuality, the greater God's dominion over us. The worse our dominion over our sexuality, the greater Satan's dominion over us.

I just want to end this post with a note of sincere and boundless gratitude to God, True Father and True Children for this new age of God's ownership that we have entered. And I would like to contribute to them in the greatest way that I can (which is likely through me working on myself and developing my own capacity as a true owner).

Aju!!!
