August 8, 2002

We appreciate your hard work for the providence. According to the special direction of True Parents, all Korean leaders have returned to Korea and will work there until the end of this year. The following are directions given by Father during the Hoon Dok hours on August 8, and you are requested to do your best to fulfill them:

1. Preparations for the upcoming September 14 Blessing: As the first anniversary of the 9-11 incident is approaching, in order to heal the wounds inflicted by the conflicts and struggles from the religious, cultural and political differences and confrontations, and to realize true world peace, True Parents will conduct an interracial and interreligious Marriage Blessing Ceremony in New York, on September 14, which is the 9-11 anniversary weekend. Thus, you are requested to do your best to accomplish this mission. On the morning of August 8, Father especially emphasized the importance of Japanese missionaries and American leadership being united as one and thereby bringing a victory for the upcoming Blessing.

2. Preparations for Mother's Tour: After the speaking tours in Korea and Japan, and immediately following the September 14 Blessing, True Mother will begin a speaking tour from September 16 in 12 major cities in America. We are requesting that American leadership and Japanese missionaries make preparations for this.

3. Establishing a State Committee in each region: In order to effectively and successfully carry out the above-mentioned two events (Blessing and Mother's Speaking Tour), we ask that all providential institutions be united as one and establish a Preparation and Execution Committee centered on the Vice-Regional Director in each region, on behalf of the Regional Director, and fulfill all of the necessary activities in each region.

4. Directions for the mobilization of Japanese missionaries: In order to help carry out the above events, all Japanese missionaries who have been laying the foundation in their own mission area for the 4/27 and 7/3 Blessing events are requested to do their very best once again. Father emphasized the importance of Japanese missionaries to accomplish their mission, especially during the time when Korean leaders are absent in America.
