The Words of the Guignard Family

Invitation For The European Football Summer Workshop 2008

Rafael Guignard and Daniel Christensen
June 2008

The EuroPhoenix Football project started almost 2 years ago with the first Football Workshop in Germany. The main goal was to build European 2nd generation Football Team to participate in the next IPSF 2007 in Korea. Throughout the year we had 67 players coming from 14 different nations that could participate in the 7 Football Workshops hold in 5 different nations: Germany, France, Austria, England and Italy.

After a successful first IPSF 2007 in Sun Moon University with Europhoenix where we had the honor to receive the "Team Spirit Award" from Rev. Kwak in front of Hyun Jin Nim, we would like to continue the adventure and prepare for IPSF 2009. Of course, everybody is welcomed. Even if we have already many good players we would like to find new players who can challenge them through these kind of WS and maybe come with us for IPSF 2009.

Our goal is to give to young players the opportunity not only to develop their Football skills but also their inner character, values and ethics. We also want to give them a vision of hope for the future of this World and give them the confidence and tools that they can have a positive impact in their families, schools, workplaces, communities and societies.

Our main goal this year is to build a strong team going to participate at an International Tournament in Korea in summer 2009. It is the Inter-religious Peace Sports Festival. It is a Sports Festival that brings people from over 50 nations, 10 different religions together confronting each other in a spirit of Sportsmanship, Fair-Play and Friendship in 7 different Sports. By creating a model of Inter-religious cooperation through Sports, overcoming barriers and building friendships the participants become Young Ambassadors for Peace contributing to create a foundation for lasting peace within our Human Family.
