The northern and southern rallies for the Harmony and Unity of Heaven and Earth were held on October 16th in Guri and on October 20th in Cheonan respectively. the North and the other, the South. That victory was celebrated with the True Parents at Hannam-dong at 5 a.m. Monday, October 21st. Following the presentation of bouquets to the victorious True Parents, the lighting of candles on the victory celebration cake and its cutting, Father stated at the Hoon Dok Hae that we should be able to confidently start anew with the original standard beginning the day after the rallies for the Harmony and Unity of Heaven and Earth held from October 14th to the 20th. He emphasized living a life of faith.

He also said that we had been prepared through the Ceremonies of the Return of the Oceans, Return of the Land, Return of All things, Return of Adam's Four Great Realms of Heart and the Proclamation of the Age of the Fourth Adamic Realm. Now, we are in the position of making the living offering of the past, present and future, therefore, we must all be the owners of true love, true life, true lineage, true people, true nation, true world, true heaven and earth and true God.

As the Hoon Dok Hae ended, True Father called upon Sun Moon University President Lee Kyung-june, President Sa Gil-ja of the House of Unification for World Peace; FFWPU Japan President Yu Jeong-ok of Japan; the National Messiah to China, Rev. Hwang Yeop-ju; Jardim Training Center Director Rev. Yun Jeong-ro; and FFWPU International President Hwang Sun-jo to report on the Rallies for the Harmony and Unity of Heaven and Earth.

In his report, President Hwang Sun-jo explained to the gathering the providential significance of the rallies as outlined below.

The month of October commemorates Father's liberation from Heungnam Death Camp in North Korea as well as his release from Seodaemun Prison in South Korea. The 1988 Seoul Olympics ushered in the spirit of liberation for the Communist Bloc whereas this year's Asian Games spontaneously triggered a mood of unity between North and South Korea.

The conclusion of the event symbolizing total liberation is the holy fire ceremony. It signifies that Unification Family members should start as Owners of the New Heaven and New Earth, and as the People of the New Nation, God's Fatherland with the new consciousness of the culture of heart (shimjeong).

The event is distinguished from previous events by the following aspects: First, it was a comprehensive event since God's Coronation Ceremony. Having inaugurated the Women's Federation for World Peace (WFWP) on 10 April 1992, True Mother represented the Realm of the Bride on behalf of Christianity, and in a series of WFWP rallies held nationwide from 6 to 9 July 1992, she assumed the position of John the Baptist in proclaiming Father as the Messiah and Lord of the Second Advent. Upon that foundation, the Completed Testament Age began in 1993. Subsequently, True Mother declared that the True Parents were the Messiah and Lord of the Second Advent at the rallies for the Realm of Life of the Unity and Completed Settlement of the Parents of Heaven and Earth held in August 2002. It was based on having consummated the Completed Testament Age that the True Parents are now proceeding to establish the foundations of the history of goodness.

Corresponding to the proclamations in the spirit world, True Parents directed that rallies be held on earth in tandem with the changes taking place in the spirit world, namely at the individual, familial, tribal, racial, national, global and up to the cosmic level.

Second, through this event, the messages from the spirit world have been settled upon on the earth. (Father interjected that that was in fact the purpose of the event.) 1,918 Ambassadors for Peace participated at the southern rally (representing Father's release from Seodaemun Prison) while another 778 took part in the northern rally. Prior to the event, when the messages from the spirit world were read, our staff were usually very apprehensive about the audience's response. This time, however, they were not nervous, and the participating Ambassadors for Peace were likewise most positive and readily assimilated our ideas. It appeared that the unity of heaven and earth was actually taking place.

Third, similar to the representatives of the five great religions in the spirit world testifying to the True Parents from the position of children, we must be ready to do the same level of work on the earth. The Venerable Kim Gwang-tae, representing the Beobhwa Buddhist sect at the northern rally, and Rev. Hyun (currently working as a minister in Kangseo district since his graduation from Christ Theological Seminary) representing Christianity at the southern rally, confidently testified that True Parents were the Messiah.

Fourth, it universalized the family pledge. The conditions have been set to create the culture of heart that will be upheld in God's homeland. As the Ambassadors for Peace recited the family pledge without any hesitation, we could see how people in the Cain Realm would be able to naturally assimilate themselves into the Abel realm.

Fifth, it is the holy fire ceremony for the Peace, Unity and Liberation of Heaven and Earth. We must look at providential events from a providential view point. The birth of Jesus Christ about two thousand 2,000 years ago was the most memorable event in the entire history of humankind. The Holy Communion had been the highlight of Christian tradition and culture over the past two thousand years. In the same manner, the Cheon Il Guk culture will remain as the tradition for all humanity from generation to generation in the future.

Sixth, it is the power of the True Parents. The rallies began with the video introducing the True Parents' word and accomplishments. All the events True Parents staged culminated in the 13 January 2001 event. Thereafter, they hosted the rallies for the Settlement of God's Fatherland in twelve different locations in July leading up to Father's invitational address to the Korean congress on July 13th. In November and December, they spoke at the rallies for the Nation of Cosmic Peace and Unity, culminating in Father's message delivered at the Blue House in February 2002. On June 21st, the Rally for the Unity and Completed Settlement of the Parents of Heaven and Earth was conducted, to restore the number six that had been taken by Satan, eighteen months after the Coronation Ceremony for the Kingship of God (18 = 3 x 6). True Parents thus passed through three stages and then declared the Realm of Life of the Unity and Completed Settlement of Parents of Heaven and Earth on August 5th. (True Father telephoned President Hwang at 3 a.m. to convene the meeting that very morning.) This event launched True Mother's speaking tours under that theme in Korea, Japan and America, which stretched from August to September. The leaders resolution rallies for world peace fell within the same period. Representing the True Parents, this event was the seventh one that made the tie between the spirit world and the physical world, and gave us the opportunity to make a resolution on earth. True Parents have fully discharged their responsibilities. They have set the standard and now it is up to us. Through the Holy Burning Ceremony, we must substantially cut ourselves off from the past and establish the nation. It is clear that we have moved from the age of the parents' responsibility to the age of the children's responsibility, our responsibility. Previously, True Parents, as the ancestors of goodness, had to fulfill their portion of responsibility. Starting with this event, however, it is all up to us. We must take full responsibility now.

After President Hwang Sun-jo had finished his report, True Father said that members must see clearly that the age has come for us to carry out the providence fully understanding the spiritual world and the physical world. There being the foundation of the new creation, we must have the mindset of shaping the new age on our own. We must agonize over how to engraft the Cain Realm onto us as the Abel realm and make strenuous efforts to effect this. True Father called upon members to become the owners of the new creation, whereupon he closed the victory celebration and Hoon Dok Hae.
