Dear Dr. Jenkins,

As the committee chairman for Boy Scout Troop 1212 within the National Capital Area Council, it is my distinct pleasure to make a special request of you. Our troop is about to honor four young men who have recently advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout. This letter is to ask for your assistance in recognizing their achievements and service. They are among a select group of scouts to achieve this rank in this troop that was formed only eight years ago.

I would be most appreciative if you could send these scouts a letter of greeting, along with any other items you wish to be presented to them during a recognition ceremony to be held on August 30, 2006, at 7 p.m., at New Hope Academy, Landover Hills, Maryland. We would be honored by your presence, as well, if your schedule permitted.

Please address your letters and recognition to:

Eagle Scout Wongil Dadachanji
3100 Stonybrook Drive
Bowie, Maryland 20715
Eagle Scout Trevor Boothby
310 Holly Road
Edgewater, Maryland 21037
Eagle Scout Keja Rowe
9331 Copernicus Drive
Greenbelt, Maryland 20706
Eagle Scout Joshua Herstein
12303 Rustic Hill Drive
Bowie, MD 20715

All of the letters received will be placed in commemorative binders and displayed during this special occasion.

Thank you very much for taking time from your extremely busy work schedule to help this community and this unit recognize the personal achievement and service of Eagle Scouts Dadachanji, Boothby, Rowe, and Herstein.

Sincerely yours,
Arthur Herstein
Troop 1212 Committee Chairman
