The Words of the Salazar Family |
My family and I am so blessed and guided by the power of true love of God and True Parents. We did not know what happened on that Friday afternoon of March 11 till my husband called me on my cell phone asking with a worried voice, "Are you and the children, okay?" I answered, "Yes, of course, we're fine. Why?". "I'm experiencing a 30-second quake here in the office. Check the TV". I quickly switched on the TV. I was shocked in surprise! I saw the tsunami like monster sweeping all the people and properties away, major quakes in Tokyo, Chiba, Miyagi, Senadai, Iwate, Ibaraki and many other places in Japan. People were running and shouting in fear of quake and tsunami. It seemed, "end of the world" just like what I saw in the movie, "2012"!
Around 3 pm, my 2 boys arrived from school. I asked them if they felt the earthquake in school, they said, "No, no earthquake, Mommy". "Come watch the news", I said. "Honto da! KUWAI!", they said.
We never felt any quake, that day. We're presently living here in Obuse, Nagano, luckily located on a higher ground, rich in nature. It's surrounded with beautiful mountains and rivers with birds freely flying.
That night, I had a dream. A guy came to our room and said, "Wake up! Are the blessed children, alright?" My husband answered; "Everybody's alright. No problem!" The guy said, "Good. I'm in a hurry. I must go!" "Who are you?", I asked. "I'm a Unification Church Missionary. I need to check all blessed families' situation here in Japan and that's my mission right now." Then he quickly disappeared like spirit without opening the main door. Then I woke up, Oh! It's only a dream but it seemed so real. It was 4 am of Saturday, March 12, I felt our apartment moving, shaking a little for 5 seconds. I quickly got up and awakened my husband, "Daddy, get up! Earthquake!" We woke up and watched the TV news. After 30 minutes, we felt another shake, "Honto da!", my husband said. At 5 am, we started our daily Pledge, Prayer and Hoon Dok Hae.
After Hoon Dok Hae, we received text message from Nakano Church, "TRUE PARENTS called Tokyo headquarters, worried about Japan. True Father asked about the situations of the churches and family members all over Japan. True Parents were calling from Las Vegas. True Parents are praying for Japan and is encouraging all leaders and members throughout the world to do the same."
We called our relatives in Chiba, my husband's hometown. Most of them received Holy Wine and True Parents' Autobiography when we visited them last New Year's Day. Though they experienced the major quakes and many things were falling, they tried to hide under the table and in their toilet. They're all safe and alive! There were only minor damages in their houses.
I also called my mom in the Philippines. She's a devout Catholic and believes in the "end of the world". Mama cried as I talked to her on the phone. She was in panic because of the news about Chiba. She thought, we're staying in Chiba and so she was really worried, we might be dead. Even my sister, Juvy in New Jersey called her and my brother Voltaire in Australia were worried since they can't contact me. At last, we were able to talk and I said; "Just relax. Don't worry, we're all alive! We never experienced major quakes nor tsunami. We stay in a safe place far from the sea. God and True Parents love us and always protect us."
All of them were relieved and comforted. They were able to talk to each of our four children and even to my husband just to make sure everyone is okay. They are all grateful to God, True Parents and Jesus Christ. Mama promised to light a candle together with all of my relatives and friend, offer a prayer of thanks to God for saving our life here in Japan, Aju!
