Four Women to Raise a Man

Sun Myung Moon -- 2012

For a man (boy) to become a "man", it takes four women to raise him. The fall of man happened as that process was cut short.

As True Parents say, the identity of man is defined by the identity of woman. So a man needs women to identify himself as a man.

God gave the warning to Adam "Do not eat of the fruit". Fruit representing the sexuality of woman is the very valley that Adam had to pass, in order to have access to the mountain of masculinity in the image of God.

That valley has four hills, meaning four women: his mother, sister, wife and finally daughter. Eve was Adam's sister, and he was to establish the love of a brother for a sister, overcoming the sexual attraction. And here is a taboo topic, that yes, a boy, as he grows to be a man, is attracted sexually to his mother, sister, and daughter. That is what Freud the psychologist wrote and was persecuted for it. (this is not to endorse Freud entire philosophy)

The Divine Principle chapter on the fall of man, mentions the warning by God to Adam and Eve not "eat of the fruit". This means that God was quite aware that brothers and sisters could get attracted sexually in their natural course of growth. Yet it is Adam's responsibility to let those feelings turn into a passage in becoming a man. As a side note, the commandment was given way before Lucifer would tempt Eve, so the possibility of the fall existed even if Lucifer did not tempt.

So what are we getting at? If a boy does overcome the scene of sexual attraction to his sister and can still have an intimate heart to heart relationship with her, then he learns to do the same with his wife. Yes, the greatest turn off for a wife is when husband equate sex with love. They want husband to be their brother, father and son, before becoming their sexual partner.

I'll write about the other women in a man's life in next articles.
