Do You Love Me? - One Can Not Listen, if One Never Asks Questions!

Usually, we don't ask that question from those we are in a close relationship with! Why is that such a scary question?

I have always thought this question to be a selfish one. Yet, several comments has led me to see it in whole different light. So I went ahead and texted that question to my two daughters this morning.

An elder brother, once told me, that he could only know God's love for him, when he could see (God's love for him) through his wife's eyes! And then recently another brother advised me, "the way to your wife's heart, is asking questions, listening, and then again asking more questions, listening and then again asking more questions,.. on and on and on.... until she feels fully loved...as long as it takes."

So why haven't I asked my wife this question, in this few years that we have been struggling in our relationship? Maybe because I was afraid she might say "No". OK, let's say that would be her answer, but that is never the end of the story, since her answer becomes the foundation for another question, such as "Why not?"... then she'll say something maybe hurtful. However, if I can have mind and body unity and remember the advice my elder brother gave me, I will be able to overcome my hurt and simply ask another question, "could you tell me more!"... and on and on....

The key to victory with love and especially females is listening, however, one can not listen, if one never asks questions!
