Chisinau, Moldova -- A presentation about the Importance of Marriage and Family for Peace and Human Development took place at the Construction College on October 19. More than 200 students attended the meeting, which was part of UPF's Marriage and Family Peace Initiative. A meeting on October 23 was attended by 70 guests and friends of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification.

Guest speakers included Mrs. Stamatin Otilia, an Ambassador for Peace and Dr. of Psychology at the Pedagogical State University. She spoke about the psychological advantages of married life. Mrs. Osadcii Raisa from the Academy of Science and a researcher at the Institute of Cultural Patrimony, gave a presentation about traditional family values and rituals and their historical roots.

Plans are to hold a national conference on the topic of "The Family and a Culture of Peace in Moldova" on November 26 in conjunction with NGO partners. Also scheduled in November are presentations on "The Culture of Love and Purity for Teenagers" at the Music College and Military Academy.
