My dear brothers and sisters, a new opportunity awaits you. We are creating Heaven right here on the west coast (of the U.S.) and you are invited.

The applications are available for the summer and full-year NextGen Academy programs! The deadline is April 30. Contact us for an application packet or for more details. Attached you'll find a flyer with more details. It is also pasted below.

NextGen Academy is accepting applications for Summer 07 and Full-Year 07-08!

Who We Are:

NextGen Academy (NGA) is an innovative leadership program that offers tools for personal and professional development, serving locally and globally. We offer a spiritually uplifting and safe environment, academic and experiential educational components, and chances to lead in big and small ways.

What We're Looking For:

High school graduates who are passionate about helping others and becoming leaders, willing to learn through challenging themselves, and exploring the culture of heart.

Applicants 21 years of age and up interested in taking more leadership in the program will have the opportunity to be trained as interns or staff!

Summer Program 2007: dates: June 23 – September 2 cost: $850

If you choose to enroll in Summer 07 and stay on through the 07-08 Year, (strongly encouraged), the fee for Summer 07 is cut in half to $425

Full-Year Program 2007/08 dates: September 24, 2007 – September 7, 2008 . (with two breaks) cost: $1500

There is limited space for both programs. APPLY NOW!

Late applications will not be accepted.

Next year may see participants exploring 10 different countries (and their faiths) for an individual pioneer experience, working alongside Native Americans to bring a peace totem pole to Israel ( www.nala.org) and/or organizing an international service project in Cameroon, Nepal or Bangladesh!

NGA 06-07 Highlights:

Fundraising ventures (door-to-door, stationary, craft and trade shows, holiday campaigns) all the way from Anchorage, Alaska to Las Angeles, California

International Service Project: Dominican Republic

Attending leadership and service related conferences and seminars, i.e., CEO Conference, Motivational Seminar, White House Conference for Faith Based Initiatives

Revitalizing Sunday services in Vancouver B.C., Seattle and Portland

Organizing, planning, and putting on camps and workshops in the Pacific NW region: T2, Tongil, Camp Cool, Music workshop, Heart of Alaska.

NGA workshops (monthly)

International Cultural Exchange tour to Korea and Japan!

Planning for upcoming summer program elements (T2 Adventure Camp, Camp Tongil Northwest, Fundraising Adventures, Seattle SFP Summer of Service, International Service Project 07: "Building Character through Service" Saint Lucia, West Indies)

April 1 – Applications available

April 30 – Application deadline

May 1-8 – Interviews (in person or via phone)

May 15 – Notification of acceptance

June 23 – Summer Program Begins!

September 24 – Full Year Program Begins!
