True Mother visited Sun Moon University today, accompanied by Kook Jin Nim's couple and Choi Yeon Ah Nim. Mother was recently installed as chairman of the Sun Moon Education Foundation, which operates Sun Moon University and seven other schools in South Korea.

According to a report Mother received today from university officials, Korean universities are facing a demographic crisis. The number of high school graduates is declining, and in couple of years there not be enough high school graduates to fill all the freshman classes in Korean universities. A few years after that, the number of high school graduates will fall short by as much as 100,000.

The reason is simple: Koreans are not having babies. South Korea's birthrate is at 1.21, one of the lowest in the world and not enough even to keep the population at its current level.

If Sun Moon is going to survive in the mid to long term, it is going to have to connect with True Parents' worldwide foundation and receive more students from other countries. It already has one of the highest concentrations of foreign students in Korea.

Sun Moon has the Korea Language Institute, where foreign students can come to learn Korean an prepare to enter Sun Moon as full students.

Today was a successful visit for everyone -- with the potential exception of the three young ladies whose dorm room True Mother inspected. Keep your rooms clean, kids! You never know who may drop by.
