Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Last Sunday's Launch Party was a great way to start the Winter Quarter! I hope everyone enjoyed it and that you are finding ways to get connected with Lovin Life activities. "Connect" means you find your place to make an offering, to make our community better, more loving and more joyful.

Some folks may still be asking, "Just what is this Lovin Life Ministry all about and what does it mean for me?" That's OK.

The words, Inspire, Empower, Connect and Contribute really mean something in this process of creating a family culture. As we all listen to our Senior Pastor, reflect on her words and share with one another in our groups throughout the week, the meaning for our lives can become clearer.

Our Town Hall style sharing after church this Sunday can be one good opportunity to share your heart, participate in the creative process and get more information.

The prospect of change is always challenging and new beginnings can be difficult in some ways. Yet this change is all about being "In Love". The theme for Winter Quarter, "In Love", challenges us to reflect about what it is to live in true love and how we behave toward one another when we are motivated by unselfish love. If you are like me, you will find plenty of room to grow.

At the same time, we need to celebrate our victories and successes. No one can really experience joy in a vacuum. That is why it is so important to get connected.

Peace, Shalom, Salaam,
Pastor Matthew and Marianne Goldberg
