On April 17, I visited the museum at the headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Utah. Seeing the history of a religious order that has existed for nearly two hundred years, I was touched by many things.
First of all, I think it is our pressing task to let all the people in the world know, within the shortest time possible, that the True Parents have come. Telling humankind that True Parents have already come will become our great asset in the future. Are not the Christians and the Latter Day Saints still waiting for the Messiah and returning Lord? We have already finished the Completed Testament Age and ushered in Cheon Il Guk. Yet, these people live without knowing the providential time. We cannot remain still. We should mobilize all means to notify people that True Parents have come. We must inform them that the Messiah has come.
Furthermore, we must let the world know of True Parents' accomplishments throughout their lives after they came to earth to save humankind. None of these things come to pass just by talking. They are not fulfilled just by proclaiming them. Rather, you must act, create motion, and harvest fruits. You must think about how to ignite church activities through witnessing.
The Jewish people have the concept that they are the chosen people, but their history up until Jesus came was miserable. Israel itself was unable to follow a smooth path in that era. Its people followed a path of life-or-death resolution. That being the case, Heaven could establish only one center to carry out His work. As He raised Israel to become the central providential nation, God sent many prophets through the ages, allowed their people to survive, and then sent Jesus to them. But what happened? The people of Israel, who had been placed in a difficult environment, believed that the Savior and Messiah promised by Heaven would come in great splendor. They believed that when he appeared, everything they had desired would be fulfilled overnight, that the tides of the world would change in their favor. They thought that Israel would stand tall and bring Rome to ruin and that there would be other such miracles, but these things did not happen.
They were unaware that there was something known as indemnity. We should be grateful and express appreciation to True Parents. Through the word, we came to understand the principles of indemnity, and discovered that we could not move forward without passing through the principle of restoration through indemnity.
The reason I frequently watch the Cheon Il Guk Foundation Day video is because you too must stand in the realm of heart as True Parents do, and live within that same realm of heart. From True Parents' point of view, the children of the True Family are the same as you regarding this point. From now, as long as I live, I shall build up Heaven's tradition so that you and the True Family can stand upright within the same realm of heart [1] as True Parents.
Over the past two hundred years, the Mormon Church [2] grew into a global religion. What do you think will happen if the world comes to know our Unification Principle? You must all wake up and pay attention.
I want to emphasize the role of the wives in our church. In the past, the people of Israel were able to survive during adversity because of the family role played by the mothers. That means the role of the daughters-in-law. Rather than the men, it was the women; that is, it was the mothers, wives, and daughters-in-law who carried on the tradition. This is the same for our Family Federation. Therefore, from now on, our church should encourage the wives and have them stand on the front line.
Success or failure in completing Cheon Il Guk hinges on how we practice and take action in relation to the goals we have set for 2020. The role of women in advancing toward the goals is important. This is not the time to remain a woman buried within the family but to be a woman who can have life-or-death resolution to stand in the forefront of providence for this providential goal.
If we are unable to fulfill these goals, you will stand accused by your ancestors, who went to the eternal world before you. If all 7 billion people in the world go to the spirit world without ever hearing about the news that True Parents have come, what do you think they will say to you in the spirit world?
You and I both breathed the same air and lived in the same era as True Parents. Yet, why didn't you tell us about True Parents? Why didn't you introduce them to us? If I had known True Parents, I would have attended them much better than you did.
You will be subject to such accusations for eternity. If you fail to fulfill your mission of telling people about the True Parents, you will not be able to escape such accusations. The True Family has the same mission. If those children born of True Parents' direct lineage are unable to think about humankind, they will end up in a place where they receive eternal accusation. Please engrave in your hearts that you have this responsibility.
Throughout history, we have seen all the model courses for both success and failure. Seeing these historical lessons, can you do less? Look at Israel today. Even the women go to the army and take action in the same way as men do to protect their country.
The people in leadership positions here should think of how to have their wives take the lead in doing this work. Now is the time for women to step forward and take the lead in saving the nation and the world. You must know how serious and important this responsibility is.
If your viewpoint of the providence becomes clouded, make a new resolution while watching the Foundation Day events video again. You must work and live as if a day is a thousand years. I am now past my seventieth year. I will be almost eighty years old by 2020. We must do and create miracles before then.
If you are unable to join me in the providential ranks, your descendants will accuse you. You will not be able to say that you were unable to do this because you didn't know. I have told you and taught you everything.
True Parents established companies here in the United States. As I have said in Korea, if the church is the mind, the providential organizations and companies are the body. Only when mind and body are united can someone become a healthy person and fulfill God's will. I shall move forward in that direction from this time on.
My thoughts regarding the United States are of course the same for the rest of the world. The reason Father had you do fund-raising during workshops was to forge mind-body unity.
We stand in a truly precious position in order to bring greater development to the heavenly providence. How much you can value and be proud of your situation of having been given eternal life! You stand in that glorified position on the basis of which your descendants can come and go proudly for all eternity.
I have told you this: I wish to have you all stand in the position of loyalty, piety and fidelity. In order to do that, you must unite with what I say. I don't mean that you should just talk about standing in a position of loyalty, piety and fidelity. You must practice this through your actions. Those in leadership positions should encourage others to do this.
Whenever I watch the Foundation Day video, tears come to my eyes, and I once again make a resolution. "The world revolves around one person who is properly in place." Do not forget that you are among the central ranks.
