Chapter Five - The Principle of the Fall of Man [Part 2]

VI. Scriptural and Other Proofs to Indicate the Original Sin is Adultery to God

The Bible does not directly say Adam misused his foreskin, but there are many hints in the Bible indicating the original misuse of God's gift of love. Law and rituals concerning the blood and sacrifice indirectly refer to the blood relation by the reproductive organs. Both Old Testament and New Testament contain symbols pertaining to father and mother capacity, the bridegroom and the bride relation.

God is the husband -- Israel the bride. (Adam and Eve capacity.) Jesus the head of the church (or bridegroom) -- The Church is bride or Eve capacity.

These numerous signs and symbols cannot be taken lightly or dismissed as allegory. The pure, cleansed blood of Jesus symbolically washed away the unclean stained blood of death. Why does all humankind have stained blood which mast be cleansed by the blood of Jesus? We mast think seriously.

1. Indemnity Condition - Circumcision

Originally, God planned the divine love for husband and wife, but, because of our human ancestors, it was necessary to set up a condition before fallen mankind could receive blessing from God. The descendants of Adam should pay an indemnity condition in order to approach God. We can see how this is clearly followed in both the Old Testament and the Now Testament.

Gen. 17:10-11 states "This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. (14) And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant."

This symbolized separating the seed, or children, from Satan's control and giving it back to God. This symbolized draining out the stained blood attachment of Satan in the original sin committed by using Adam's foreskin. (Circumcision means to cut off, to separate, to take out the stained blood, to purify for God.) Without cleansing or purification, man cannot be received by God. Circumcision was an indemnity condition which Abraham and all his descendants must follow in order to approach God. This reversely restores the fallen act when Adam misused his foreskin. This act, symbolically, cleansed the stained blood which originated in Adam, the fallen Father of all mankind.

2. Indemnity Condition -- Jacob's Thigh

As an indemnity condition, Jacob's thigh was put out of joint by an angel. Why? Because Jacob's ancestor, Adam, in the beginning, misused his thigh. Therefore, the descendants of Adam must set up an indemnity condition for God. Jacob could not receive his blessing without paying some price. It was a symbol of separation from Adam's sin.

Gen. 32:24-25 "And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him."

Jacob is a symbol of Adam; the blessing of Adam's seed was lost, and Jacob's seed was blessed.

3. Sanctification or Purification

Let us look at further examples of sanctification or purification spoken of in the Old Testament.

Exodus 19:14-15 "And Moses went down from the mountain unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes; And he said unto the people, 'Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.'"

This again gives proof of the indemnity condition which must be set up by abstaining from the love-relation, even in a husband and wife relationship. God commanded that there be a period of separation, or cleansing, to receive God's blessing. This period of purification, symbolically, separated the people from the fallen act of Adam and Eve in the beginning; to separate the blood relation of the serpent from the children that they might be received as God's children.

Strangely enough, God tried to kill Moses. Exodus 4:24-26 "And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the Lord met him, and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. (26) So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision."

This again was a symbolic act of indemnity by circumcision. It set up an indemnity condition whereby Moses was received by God; then Moses could give his life to Israel and deliver Israel, and this condition sanctified him for his mission. Again, we see that the condition refers to the misuse of Adam's foreskin (blood relation) in the first act in the Garden.

4. Abraham's Offering

We find another example in Abraham's offering. The dove and pigeon in Abraham's offering must be cut, or separated, into halves and the blood drained. Why such a strange procedure? (Gen. 15:10) This was to symbolically separate these offerings from Satan's blood attachment. The separation of evil and good cleansed the blood. To drain the blood, symbolically separated all mankind from the attachment of Satan.

5. Immorality

Because Adam and Eve misused their love, the purpose for the perfect divine love God planned for humankind was abused, and love has been abused, impure, and shameful in a fallen society. The generations immediately following Adam were filled with lust and immorality and evil prevailed. The business of professional immorality is an evil and dirty business, yet it has always been one of the most popular and flourishing businesses in every country in the world. Since the beginning of mankind, throughout the history of the ages, we see this tendency toward moral corruption which originated from the misuse of the gift of love in the Garden of Eden. Men are dominated and controlled by evil, by the serpent -- the archangel, who seduces the minds of all humankind, from Adam to the present day.

It is a startling fact that many great men and heroes became corrupted by immoral physical sins, a reflection of the misuse of the love-relation in our first ancestors. The problem of immorality basically comes from lust of the flesh. The problems of our teenagers and adults alike in this present day are mostly concerning immorality. This problem includes leaders and elders in many countries today. Every country is in danger of inward moral corruption. These facts and phenomena can be traced back to the immoral acts of our ancestors.

Section Two - Relation Between Satan and Fallen Men on Earth

The divine ideal of creation was that Adam and Eve should grow to perfection, have perfect children, and these perfect children would dominate the whole universe, directly receiving God's divine love. It would have been a perfect family centering in God. God, Adam and Eve and their children would have made the heavenly four-position foundation for the kingdom on earth. Thus, the number four became significant. The heavenly four number was lost and Satan's four number exists. We must learn how man can regain the original four-position foundation centering in God which existed before the Fall of Adm. God is now restoring the Heavenly four-position foundation.

I. Satan's Four-Position Foundation

The relationship between Satan and fallen men on earth has been revealed. We have learned that:

1. Satan is the adversary
2. Satan is influential in physical sickness according to the book of Job
3. Satan is sometimes influential in loss of property
4. He is at times responsible for bereavement or death
5. Satan was the seducer of Adam and Eve - II Cor. 11:3
6. He deceived the whole world - Rev. 12:9
7. Satan approached and tempted Jesus - Matt. 4:1-11

Because of the fall, Satan's four-position foundation has been set up instead of a Heavenly four-position foundation centering in God, sinless Adam, sinless Eve, and sinless children. Since the fall Satan has worked through the minds of men to control the world. All mankind has been led by Satan and is under Satan's control, as we find by the following scriptural passages:

John 12:31 states "... now shall the prince of this world be cast out."
II Cor. 4:4 "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not ..."

God does not claim to be the ruler of this world.

Romans 7:21-23 "I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."
Matt. 15:18-20 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man ..."

Here we see that man's heart and mind are defiled by Satan and controlled by Satan.

John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do."
Matt. 3:7 "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees he said unto them, 'O' generation of vipers.'"
Matt. 12:34 "O' generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

Jesus referred to leading religious leaders as vipers, snakes, the offspring of Satan the serpent.

II Cor. 11:3 "As the serpent tempted Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted ..."

It is through the mind that we are beguiled by Satan; and all creation is under Satan.

Romans 8:19-22 "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now."

II. How Satan Controls Man on Earth Through Give and Take

God originally set up this divine principle of give and take, harmony and oneness, but Satan copied this plan. Evil spirits form a base with evil men on earth who become their object for the action of give and take. Many evil spirits come to evil persons. They practice evil to destroy the work of God.

The following diagram illustrates this action of give and take between Satan and man on earth.

Satan mast form a correlative standard with a person on earth in order to produce the power of evil. If Satan has no base on earth, he cannot work. Satan must have give and take with a person in order to work the power of evil.

If the spirit of man refuses to make a base, Satan, who is a spirit, cannot work and no power of evil is generated. Then Satan cannot use or control any man. Satan cannot manifest evil works without this action of give and take on earth.

Why did the give and take between the archangel Satan, Adam and Eve, make it, possible to deviate from the principle or law established by God?

God sets up a track, a principle in which all things can function in perfect harmony. Man should function like a train and follow the track, staying within this principle. If man leaves the track, then man is no longer in a position to receive God's love and blessing.

Adam deviated from the principle and the result was the fall. Thus, mankind was derailed and the result was confusion, and disharmony. Adam became a broken and depraved man in spirit, mind and body, from the time that he turned aside from God's original principle. Only a power stronger than the power of the principle could have caused man to fall from his blessed position. What power did God make stronger than the power of the principle?

III. The Power of Love is Stronger Than the Power of the Principle

The power which is greatest of all is the power of love. God's love is the source of joy, happiness, and life. The purpose of God's creation is love. God wanted to control perfect man and the universe through the power of divine love.

Romans 8:38 tells us that "... neither life, nor death, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God ..."

There are many facets of God's love for man and all things. Adam and Eve formed a false love-relation with the archangel, destroying the perfection and harmony of all phases of love in the world:

1. God to man
2. Husband to wife
3. Parents to children
4. Brotherhood or man

There would have been no shame, fear, or guilt connected with perfect divine love.

If Adam and Eve had attained perfection and had they united in perfect love centering in God, nothing could have separated them from God's love, The divine marriage relation was to come after the perfection and maturity of Adam and Eve. According to the principle, God would then give Adam the Lordship over all the creations. This was the original promise to man on the earth.

God foresaw the danger and possibility that Adam and Eve would deviate while they were still as young children, immature and-imperfect. Therefore, God set up the commandment, "ran shall not eat of the fruit." In other words, this meant, "You must be patient until you have matured and receive this blessing."

1. How Did They Deviate From the Principle?

The excessive and unlawful desire of the archangel toward Eve formed complete give and take with Eve's untimely desire. Eve responded to the tempter, believing his lie. She united with him against the commandment of God. At this time, the act was untimely according to God's law, as it was done in the nonpermissive period when Eve was in the immature period of growth.

Desire was originally good. Eye and Lucifer rebelled against God's law. Thus, desire and love which goes beyond God's principle and law is immoral and is adultery. When desire in improperly used, it become evil and can be a weapon for destruction and misery. For example, a razor in good when properly used by a man. In the hands of a five-year-old child it can be a dangerous object. Knives and guns when used properly are a great help to humanity. When misused, the result is destruction and death.

IV. Man Cannot Fall Because of Freedom (or Freewill)

What is the meaning of freedom from God's point of view? To God there is no freedom apart from the Heavenly principle. Men and angels must follow the universal laws through love and obedience. God does not force or coerce.

Lucifer, Adam, and Eve could have followed God's plan. They could have overcome by faith, their desire or they could choose to disbelieve the Word of God and rebel against the principle set up by God. There was freedom involved in their actions; there was the freedom to make a choice.

God's purpose for freedom is to provide stimulating joy and happiness that man may experience, which comes from the freedom to choose. God gave man the freedom to respond. God gave man the freedom to decide and also to enjoy completely all that God had created for man. Freedom is a part of human nature and is a blessing from God.

In the ideal world, everyone will live in liberty and freedom and give joy and happiness to God. Mankind does not have freedom or liberty today. Man lost his freedom. Nearly every country is now in a state of turmoil and change. From the beginning of the history of man there have been many social reforms and revolutions. These historical revolutions and social reforms must and will take place continually in order to set up a social order in which the original freedom of man is secured according to the law and the principle of freedom in the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom on earth is a society where God's perfect order will be established. Only when men observe God's orderly law can mankind have the peace, joy, happiness and complete freedom of action. The power of the principle plus faith is greater than the power of love. No one can be tempted or enticed if they have complete faith in God. It is man's responsibility to exercise this complete faith in God.

It was freedom which led our ancestors to the line of the fall. To go beyond the line of fall was not because of the freedom of action. To go beyond the line of the fall was by the power of love, uncontrolled by lack of faith.

As is the fall, salvation or restoration is centered on man's freedom of action, which we see by the following diagram:

It is freedom of action which gives fallen man the opportunity to come to the line of restoration. Then by the power of God's Love, the fallen man is restored through Faith. We have freedom of action in the choice of good and evil. Freedom of action must be followed by responsibility. It is man's responsibility to live by faith in God.

V. What is the Standard of Good and Evil?

Good in the Heavenly sense is something which gives objective value or gives contribution to God's overall purpose for the Restoration Providence. Evil is something which is against, or harms, God's purpose for the Restoration Providence. Good and evil started in the beginning at the same time and at the same point but progressed in different directions. There are various standards of good and evil in a fallen society.

Human society has its own concept of good and evil, A Government, a culture, an ideology, or a religion, becomes righteous or unrighteous according to the following five conditions; time, place, sovereignty, ideology, and power. Let us compare U.S. and U.S.S.R. according to these five conditions to find out the standard of good and evil.

Diagram #21

A standard is good in the U.S.A., but in Russia or other countries it would be evil or unrighteous. A standard is good in Russia but evil in U.S.A and other countries. In Russia, to declare Jesus Christ and faith in God, is unrighteous and evil.

God's standard of good and evil, according to the five conditions, is different from those standards set up by this fallen society.

Those who follow God's standard are righteous in God's eye. Those who oppose God's standard of righteousness are evil, even.-though they are sincere and may think they are right. By freedom of action, faith, and individual responsibility man must adjust to God. Man must change.

VI. The Fallen Natures of Man

1. Jealousy forces a person to try to monopolize or control others. This came directly from the archangel, Lucifer, who could not love Adam. Lucifer tried to monopolize God's love.

2. Pride and Arrogance are the direct result of the fail. The archangel dared to leave his own position to control man on the earth instead of keeping his original position in the spirit-world. He became proud of his beauty and wisdom; he rebelled and lost his blessed position.

3. Defiance, Anger and Hot-blooded Temper also came from the rebellious archangel to Eve and to Adam. Because of the fall, God's Heavenly order is reversed. The archangel should have been under Adam's dominion and Lordship, but dominating nature came from Satan who controlled Eve; then from Eve who controlled Adam, to all mankind; and man lost the dominionship.

The fallen angel still controls man.

4. The fourth fallen nature of man is that of shifting the blame to others. The inversion of dominionship by the fall caused people to shift guilt or blame to other persons. Adam blamed Eve, and Eve shifted the blame to the archangel. All mankind has inherited this tendency, and avoid their individual personal responsibility to God and all mankind.

Section III - Why God Allowed the Fall of Man

I. Three Reasons for Non- Interference by God

1. God's Plan Was Absolute and Perfect

As to the principle of creation, God's Plan was absolute and perfect. In order to maintain its state of perfection, God did not interfere. According to the law and principle of creation, God will not control man directly until man has accomplished complete perfection, and attains the right to become the Lord over all things. Only the man who is perfect in spirit and body can be directly under God. If God controlled Adam and Eve directly, who were still imperfect, God would violate His own law and principles. God's law would then be changeable and imperfect. God does not directly control the immature imperfect person.

Man was progressing and growing according to the autonomy of the principle centering in the command "Thou shalt not eat", but the perfection of man was not complete; therefore, man fell in the sphere of God's indirect control.

2. God Alone Is the Creator

God cannot interfere with sin and the act of the fall which are not creations of God. God is the only creator. If He interferes with the sinful act of the archangel, it would give some value to the non-principled acts which they committed because of their lack of faith. Lucifer, the archangel, is one of God's creations. Lucifer cannot be a creator. He lost his freedom and became the origin of rebellion, jealousy, hatred, pride, arrogance, and hot-blooded temper. If God had interfered, it would result in a new law which would justify the fallen acts. God did not change His original plan for man. Lucifer was not a creator. He only damaged and postponed the inevitable fulfillment and perfection of man, who will be God's direct instrument on this earth.

3. Lordship Is Man's Responsibility

God did not interfere with the fallen act in order that man might be the Lord of all things. If God had blessed Adam in his imperfect state, it would mean that an imperfect being was dominating, or controlling, the perfect creations of God.

God could not give Adam and Eve warning about the archangel. God does not interfere with the responsibility which belongs to man on earth. God does not adjust or change his divine plan. God wanted man to accomplish his own perfection, to develop wisdom and power and have the right to rule and be the Lord over all things including the archangel. The angel was created as God's servant and ministering spirit for man. Man should be the Lord of the universe, the Lord of the physical world and the spirit-world.

Summary

1. The Tree of Life is the symbol of First Adam in the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Knowledge is the symbol of Eve. Adam should have been the first perfect man, and Eve the first perfect woman. If they had attained their perfection they would also have fulfilled God's promise and covenant with man in Gen. 1:28. This earth would be a sinless world filled with righteous children of the Heavenly Father. The way to perfection was reopened spiritually by Jesus Christ, Second Adam, who, four thousand years later became a perfect man -- Tree of Life.

2. The angelic world was created to praise God and serve man. Lucifer, the Archangel, or Chief of the Angels, rebelled against God and tempted Eve. The result of this adulterous act caused the spiritual fall. Eve's temptation of Adam in turn caused the physical fall of man. As a result of the fall, man also lost his dominion over the angels, and placed himself under Satan's rule, thereby condemning all mankind, from that time until now, to the temptations and control of Satan and his evil spirits. Adam and Eve were cursed and banished from the Garden of Eden. They lost the most blessed gift from God, the perfect divine love, and perfect children. They nullified what would have been a paradise on earth.

3. There are many hints and clues throughout the Bible of the original misuse of God's gift of love. One of them, for example, stated that it was necessary to set up a condition before fallen man could receive the blessings from God: In Genesis 17:10-31 God gave the covenant of circumcision to Abraham and all his descendants. This indemnity condition was to cleanse the stained blood, which originated in Adam, so man could approach God to receive God's blessing. We have numerous examples in the Bible.

4. God, Adam and Eve and their sinless children would have made the four-position foundation for the Earthly Kingdom. Because of the fall Satan set up the four-position foundation placing all mankind under Satan's control. Through give and take between man on earth and evil spirits Satan is working to destroy the work of God, and Satan still maintains his position of Prince of the world and the Principalities of the air.

5. Man had freedom of action and freedom to choose to do God's will by faith, but the free will of man did not cause the Fall. The power of love plus faithlessness caused the Fall of Man. There are three reasons why God would not interfere with the non-principled acts which Lucifer, Adam and Eve committed because of their lack of faith. They are:

1.) God can not give value to the non-principled act or the acts he did not sanction.
2.) God alone is the creator of all things.
3.) Man must rule over Lucifer and the angelic world.

6. God's standard of good and evil is entirely different from the world's standard. Anything which adds or contributes to God's Restoration Providence beyond time and place is good; otherwise it is evil and unrighteous to God's eye.

7. Details of the sinful nature of man after the Fall are explained as:

1.) Jealousy,
2.) Pride and Arrogance,
3.) Defiance, Anger and Hot-blooded Temper,
4.) Shifting the blame to others.
