June was a good month for local media coverage of UTS. On June 9th, the front page of the Poughkeepsie Journal was dominated by an 8x5 color photo of our students praying in the chapel under a headline reading gUnification Seminary steeped in prayer and study.h The positive and refreshingly accurate article began on the front page and continued onto the back page. The main theme of the article was the transformation of the seminary from a mysterious, threatening place to an accepted part of the community. A second article, titled gStudents prepare for a lifetime of service,h covered the everyday experience and schedule of our students. The articles were illustrated by six color photographs.

Perhaps not wanting to be outdone, the Daily Freeman made the UTS graduation its front page headline on June 29th. gSeminary grads told to do more with little means,h it read. No color photos this time but the article was well written and, in a very respectful manner, managed to capture the essence of each speakerfs message.
