Reverend Moon Declares the Second Advent

In his special address entitled The Reappearance of True Parents and the Ideal Family, delivered at the Women's Federation for World Peace rally at Chungju Indoor Stadium, at two o'clock in the afternoon on July 6, 1992, Reverend Moon announced that he had fulfilled his mission as the Lord of the Second Advent. As the time to do so had come, he was making this proclamation on the earth and urged the audience to understand. On that occasion, Reverend Moon also stated:

The Lord of the Second Advent will not literally return in the air on the clouds....The Messiah is the person who has pioneered the way of sacrifice dedicating his life to liberate God from His grievous sorrow that was caused by the fall.

On August 24, 1992, Reverend Moon explained to seven hundred leaders from around the world, who had gathered at the Little Angels Performing Arts Center for the First World Culture and Sports Festival Congratulatory Banquet, that he had, in July, officially announced that he and his wife, WFWP President Hak Ja Han Moon, were "the True Parents of all humanity...the savior, the Lord of the Second Advent and the Messiah."
