 Reverend Moon's Seventieth Birthday Celebration

A celebration in honor of Reverend Moon's seventieth birthday was held at the Olympic Fencing Stadium on February 1, 1990, before an audience of ten thousand, including both Korean and international dignitaries and core members of the Unification Church. It was an expression of respect and appreciation from representatives of the world's peoples to Reverend Moon, who, bringing both a new ideology and worldwide accomplishments as a worldwide religious leader and pioneer of this era, has devoted his life to world peace and the salvation of humankind in accordance with the will of God. On that day, Reverend Moon was awarded a medal by the Mexican International Legal Scholars' Association, which takes pride in 180 years of tradition and international authority.
