In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Gen. 1:1)

What is the origin of the universe? Rather, is the origin of the universe in existence? If the universe has evolved by itself without the Creator, how could an amoeba begin its life, and where could the earth or the moon come from? Besides, if a monkey should be the ancestor of human race, why are men who evolved under the same environment and condition, differentiated from monkeys and coexist?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

This world exists by a certain invisible power or rule as if an animal never gives birth to plant and the acacia flower never blooms in summer. All things in the world are living in an orderly harmony with a certain rule. The lord of the principle and the fundamental power is the very God.

Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. (Rom. 1:20)

God is invisible. Being invisible does not mean that it does not exist. Just as the work of an artist is a visible manifestation of the maker's invisible nature, we can find the invisible God though the visible world of creation.

Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Gen. 2:7)

Man consists of body, an outer form, and mind, an inner quality. The visible body takes after the invisible mind. Besides, body should be under the command of the mind. Since mind and body are the two relative aspects of the man, the body may be called the "second mind" or a duplication of the mind. As the Bible says that men are beings that resemble God's image, we can see that God exists as the dual characteristics of original internal character and original external form in harmony.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Gen. 1:27)

We can see that a creation, whatever it may be, exists on a reciprocal basis, such as positivity and negativity, inside and outside, up and down, male and female, stamen and pistil.

For as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God. (I Cor. 11:12)

As for God, positivity and negativity mean masculinity and femininity respectively. This positivity and negativity have the reciprocal relationship of subject partner and object partner. Hereby, God is the origin of the nature as father and mother, but He exists as a masculine subject partner. This is why we call Him "Father."

One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all. (Eph. 4-6)

Every creation exist on a reciprocal relationship. Mind and body, man and woman, and God and men live for each other. We can see that, in this relationship, the mind, man, and God are in the position of subject partner and body, woman, and men are in the position of object partner. This world is God's substantial object which is the manifested form of the invisible God. It has resulted from the heart that is inherent in God's mind. Thus we, mankind, were created as substantial children of God's love and heart. God is our Parent.

So, whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. (Matt. 7:12)

All things need energy in order to maintain. To produce the energy, there first should be "give and take action." This action requires things to exist on a reciprocal relationship. When a subject partner and an object partner are engaged in a give and take action within a being, the forces the entity needs for existence, multiplication and action are generated. The energy produced by the give and take action between a subject partner and an object partner is called the force of give and take action. There is a source of energy which can produce the give and take action and enable all things to maintain their existence. We call this energy "Universal Prime Energy." This energy has existed from the beginning in God.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. (Heb. 13:16)

When the subject partner and the object partner--mind and body, husband and wife, parents and children, employer and employees, men and nature--do the good give and take action centered on God, there should be the peace, love, and happiness. Accordingly, we shall love others first.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God; for God is love (I John 4:7-8).

God is love. Love is looking for the object partner of love because it cannot love by itself. God created all things and men as the object partner of love. This is the motivation of God's creation.

And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. (Gen. 1:31)

God felt a great deal of happiness when His created men. It was because men resembled God's heart which can share the joy of love. Love is unselfish. Love wants to bring joy to others, and bond things in unity. Love is eternal. When that eternal love is realized on earth, this world becomes an ideal place in which God can feel true happiness with men.

Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matt. 7:21)

Everything that exist has its purpose of its existence. That purpose is not decided by the created thing. It is decided by the will of the creator. As if the purpose of the existence of a cup lies in men, so does the purpose of men's existence in God's purpose of creation. Then what would be the purpose of God's creation?

And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves on the earth. (Gen. 1:28)

. Having created men as the substantial object of love, God wanted to feel joy though sharing love with men. By giving men three blessings, God allowed them to become the substantial object of love. The blessings were to be fruitful, to multiply and fill the earth, and to subdue it and have dominion. This was the very will that God wished for men. What does it mean to be fruitful?

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? (I Cor. 3:16)

In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. (John 14:20)

You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matt. 5:48)

To be fruitful is the word of blessing on an individual level. That means a man is perfectly centered on God's love and word with his mind and body in unity. God is asking men to become sons and daughters who follow heavenly Father's word, heart, and life. What was the original relationship between God and man? God and man should have been in the relationship that is inseparable. If God should be the head, then men are the body. If He should be the body, then men are the limbs. Unfortunately, however, because of the fall, men have become contradictory beings, not being able to live with God.

God created a man and a woman. Then He wanted them to become a heavenly couple after having perfected their individualities. That means that God planned to establish the heavenly kingdom by having Adam and Eve become the first husband and wife. Had it been realized, God's three blessings would have been fulfilled by them.

God had given them the ability to multiply children who resemble Him and His love. Then the children would also have become perfected men without sin at all. Furthermore, that family would have developed the ideal society, nation, and the world, eventually establishing the kingdom of God.

The third blessing, 'subdue the earth and have dominion,' signifies that men become the lord of all things. It also means to love all things as if we love ourselves.

We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now. (Rom. 8:22)

However, men have so far asked nature 'to love them,' instead. By polluting and contaminating nature, men are in turn endangering their own lives. We have to know that God's third blessing for men was His command to establish kingdom on earth.

No man has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. (I John 4:12)

Then, originally, in what position were men supposed to be? God is invisible. As He is invisible, He cannot dominate the visible things substantially. Thus, He created Adam and Eve in order to have the physical substance. There is a passage in the Corinthian I that men are God's temple. God created men to have them become the ruler of the universe.

God is love. God created Adam and Eve so that men could unite with God's love and realize that love. In other words, God created men to be the center of harmony in the universe.

Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a clear conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (I Pet. 3:21)

A man consists of mind(spirit man) and body(physical man). The body takes nourishment from the earth. The spirit also needs nourishment to grow.

But he answered, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" (Matt. 4:4)

Our mind is the invisible frame which God dwells in and grows with His love and the word of truth. Accordingly, mind represents heaven, and body represents earth. Thus, men can rule both physical(or visible) and spiritual(or invisible) world, and stand as the center of harmony for the two worlds. That is why we can say that man is the microcosm of the cosmos.

So let no one boast of men. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apol'los or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present of the future, all are yours; and you are Christ's; and Christ is God's. (I Cor. 3:21-23)

God created earth as the object partner of heaven, and men as His substantial object partner. He created all things in symbolic image of man's character and form. No one on earth, however, has reached the level of God's expectation. Since the fall of men, the place of happiness that God longed for turned into the place of sorrow and pain. What would God think of all this? He is looking for true sons and daughters whom He can be proud of and share the heart with. With that aim in His heart, He has been working until now.

For what person knows a man's thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (I Cor. 2:11)

The image of God nowadays is not a glorious one. Originally God was glorious, but, from the day of men's fall, He has been the miserable one. How painful the heart of parents will be who can only appear before their children with anguish. However, He does not want to show His painful heart and sorrow to His children.

"For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. (I Cor. 2:16)

We have to find God, our parent. We cannot find ourselves unless we find God. We have to find with the heart of Jesus what God expects from us.
