Public Service Activities

In order to bring far-reaching results in a short period of time, the Unification Church has been establishing mission bases throughout the world. Aside from witnessing, educational and service activities in rural villages, medical services in remote areas have also been regularly conducted. By providing aid in the form of food, medical supplies, clothing, etc. to developing countries in collaboration with the churches of neighboring countries, it has made efforts to practice its ultimate goal, which is to have a "movement of true love." In the 1980s, it implemented a community school movement in which educational opportunities were provided to those with little schooling. It has set up a "local wives' college," and a "senior citizens' college," for instance, to provide opportunities for the better use of leisure time, and create hobby circles. This community school movement is supported by college professors, volunteer college students and salaried workers who offer their services and thereby contribute to the community.
