The church was officially registered with the government in October 1980 and Grant Bracefield became national leader. He gathered all the missionaries in the country together in Lagos for restructuring and new start.

In February 1981, a new headquarters building was purchased. New members began to join and the church began to develop based on a growth program, through Principle workshops. Also during this period the church began to have exchanges with intellectuals through PWPA activities.

Following missionary Hyuk-shik Kwon's arrival here from Korea in March 1991, forty people were selected to do pioneer witnessing activity at forty different locations throughout Nigeria. This renewed the spirit of the church.
