Missionary work began in 1975 through the activities of the joint missionary team. Japanese missionary Katsumi Date arrived in 1978, and within a few months the first missionaries who had come before him were sent to a different place. Mr. Date worked alone for more than ten years. As he had to renew his visa every three months, he had to travel in and out of the country. His wife and children therefore had to stay in Japan.
He officially registered a branch of the Professors World Peace Academy (PWPA) in 1983. He was also the first missionary to begin CARP and IRFF activities in Southern Asia.
