Pakistan

The constitution forbids anyone to convert to other religions. 98 percent of the population are Moslems. A team of American, Japanese and German missionaries began missionary work there in 1975. During the first two years, missionaries imported ginseng from Korea with a business visa. As the Pakistani government passed a special bill prohibiting the import of ginseng, they had to change their visa into a media visa.

While living in Karachi, the missionaries taught and disseminated the Principle despite all the difficulties. Many people joined the church and many associates visited the center regularly.
However, in 1980, the government passed another bill which required all media representatives to reside in the capital, Islamabad. Leaving behind the foundation and close relationships gained over the course of five years, they had to leave Karachi and start again in Islamabad.
