Sri Lanka

Unlike other countries in Southern Asia, Sri Lanka allows freedom of religion, including marriage to people with different religion.

Missionary work began with the arrival of missionaries from the United States, Japan and Germany in 1975. Robert Kittel was appointed as regional leader for Southern Asia in 1981 and moved to Sri Lanka in 1983 to make Sri Lanka the central nation of Southern Asia.

However, as it was difficult to obtain a permanent residence visa, he had to move to India. Before going back to England in the early 1988, missionary David Rennie worked there for three years and launched CARP activities.
