Topics for 6th grade and older 2nd Generation discussion

 

 

To start with, ask the students to write down questions on papers without their names.

 

Otherwise, the following topics will give you some general guidelines about what to talk about.

 

 

1.  Boy - Girl relationships

 

            a.  What is true friendship?

            b.  How can we experience love as friends being true children and true brothers and             sisters?           

            c.  How do you deal with dating?

            d.  How does the media portray relationships between boys and girls.  (kissing, hugging,

            dress, etc.)  Do these images effect how our friends (and ourselves) view boys or girls?       Should they?

            e.  How to prepare for the matching/Blessing.

 

2.  Living with God every day

 

            a.  How do we apply Divine Principle to our life every day? 

            b.  What should be our attitude about our faith when relating to our non Unification     Church friends?

            c.  As Blessed children, how should we live our lives?

            d.  How can we tell our friends about our faith?

 

3.  Dealing with life at home

 

            a.  How do you deal with problems or challenges at home, such as having only one parent   there, or other situations. 

           

4.  Personal testimony or experiences that you would like to share with your younger brothers or sisters

 

5.  Open discussion:
