I was privileged to stay at the W-CARP Quarterly Meeting on behalf of Emanuel who was going back after our Adventure WS to participate in the STF Europe Kick-off WS.

This meeting is held quarterly with World CARP Presidents, Vice Presidents, Consultants, HQ Staff and 2nd Generation Leader, this time around 60 participants gathered in Anchorage Garden, Alaska, and I was lucky to be one of them.

In the first 2 days we 2nd Generation Leaders joined in with the World CARP leaders, there where presentations, reflections and evaluation of each chapter and discussions in smaller groups of how to improve W-CARP activities in the nations.

In one way those 2 days were really special, because Hyun Jin Nim participated in almost all presentations and gave feedback and ideas to us.

For me this was really precious to experience Hyun Jin Nim closer, and to get a better understanding of him and his vision for World CARP and the 2nd Generation. I have to say, each time Hyun Jin spoke to us, even if he started with an exciting hunting or a hike story - the conclusion of his stories in the end was always the same: CORE VALUES.

He really emphasized that especially we who are in a leader positions should embody Core Values and through that to pass it on to our members.

Just the fact that Hyun Jin Nim was repeating himself over and over again about this point made me realize how far we are still from understanding his heart and his desire for people.

"Why do you think I created Core Values? This is not something that's conceptual. I wanted to make my company the best business company. If you embody, you'll accomplish. The most important thing I can give to my son is not material things but the ability to create value. When I first started talking about this last year they didn't understand, but this year they are starting to understand, this is really talking about building the ideal culture that should have been in Adam's family. One of the goals Hyun Jin Nim wants us to establish next year is a new Witnessing model of W-CARP which embodies Core Values and attracts young people to join. We should start to think "out of the box" and to see things from a different perspective. He wants us never to be satisfied with ourselves and our work, we should always try to invest more, push ourselves to the limits and to learn from each experience - good or bad.

Hyun Jin Nim guided the W-CARP Leaders with 3 goals for next year:

One of a biggest news during this Leaders meeting was, that Hyun Jin Nim announced a World CARP Tour 2004.

On the 3rd day just the 2nd Generation Department leaders gathered for a meeting. It was really interesting to get to know the situation of the other 2nd Generation Departments and to share new ideas and problems as well.

All together we had representatives of Japan, Korea, America and Europe and of course Jin Soo Kim our international 2nd Generation Department director.

Our main discussion topics covered:

Hyun Jin Nim´s Vision of Junior STF and how to establish it in our chapters I think through experiencing how concerned they are about the right guidance of the 2nd Generation and how to improve there own chapters through endless discussions, feedback of the others made me realize that they really want to invest there whole heart for God, True Parents, Hyun Jin Nim and the 2nd Generation.

Even tough we had just one day together I felt very warmly treated by them like a younger sister and I could gain a lot from the time I spent with them.

It made me think more seriously about the position we are in and about Hyun Jin Nim´s expectations of us.

I am very grateful Emanuel gave me the opportunity to participate in this meeting, and that I could receive so much guidance from Hyun Jin Nim directly.
