Island Nations Providence

I would like to share some background information on the development of Island Nations providence. Although not an islander myself, I found myself involved in it and I thank Heaven for the opportunities it has brought to me especially in working closely with Mr. Matsuzaki, who has been a major player since the beginning.
It was in 1995 that True Father started to talk more often about island nations, particularly in connection with the role of Eve Nation. According to Father, there can be no Kingship without first restoring or establishing the position of Eve nation, which on the other hand, can be fulfilled only by an island state. The reason is that islands, are by their very nature, feminine. But it is also the fact, says Father, that islands are located in oceans and seas which are considered to be the mother of life.
We all know that Japan was by then (1995) the Eve nation. The problem, according to Father, was that it lacked the Christian foundation necessary to stand as the bride for the Lord of the Second Advent given the miscellaneous religious foundations Japan had. So, to help Japan stand and to make sure that at least that there is one island nation to fulfill the role of Eve Nation, Father instructed Mr. Kamiyama to create a union of islands to support Japan.
There was another reason for which True Father wanted to have a union of island nations and that is to be able to restore Great Britain, which was supposed to fulfill the same role of Eve Nation. According to Father, Japan as (then) the Eve Nation, could reach GB by uniting with the remaining island states most of whom have connection with GB and have Christian foundation that Japan could also inherit for her own position. Some may remember that Father went on to name Philippines, New Zealand, Canada and Taiwan as Daughter Nations. There was a special prayer in early (Feb?) 1999 in Belvedere (EG?) in connection to that.
Father instructions culminated into a meeting that brought together Church Leaders of five nations (Canada, Japan, New Zealand, The Philippines and Taiwan) to for the founding rally that took place in Tokyo in April 1996. Two months later, Political Leaders of 40 nations (including Brian Mulroney of Canada, Mike Moore, current Director Gen of WTO and Amata Kabua, the late President of Marshall Islands) met for the First World Convention. It was in June 1996. This is when I started to be involved with the process itself.
There were many other meetings and conferences since then. The problem is how to carry on with the spiritual focus which is to get the connection between Japan and Island Nations going so while externally reaching out to political leaders. Mr. Matsuzaki has played an important role there in initiating different activities such as visiting embassies, publishing newsletter, organizing regional conferences on issues like AIDS, Family Vaiues as well as sponsoring PLA activities.
Through these hardworks of Mr. Matsuzaki, coupled with the contacts missionaries and National Messiahs were having in the field, a foundation was created that Father could come and to show the direction as we can see it today.
I am personally glad and very grateful that islands are getting such a focus directly from True Parents. There is an interesting advantage we can well utilize here. Islands are small so if we are wise and creative, we can easily make a big difference. It is easy to meet or contact a Prime Minister of an island nation.
Sorry to be so long and say nothing at all. Many would like to know more, surely. Mr. Matsuzaki whom Father has personally promoted to the position of President of the Island Nations Federation for World Peace may be back from the Marshall Islands to Hawaii and will be back to Japan only early December. I hope to share more once he is back. But Mark B in Oceania may also say more about what will be happening.
I thank you all for reading and wish you well.
