The Words of the Beutl Family |
My dear brothers and sisters,
We know that behind every result there is some cause. Concerning the reality of our Movement on the Northeast continent about which I have been sharing with you in this series of reflections it is clear that there is a course of various developments which has led to today's situation.
Looking back in history, we teach that due to the failure of Christianity communism arose which has enslaved millions of innocent souls. If the people on God's side fail to care for the unfortunate then Satan has a base to attack and to claim God's children. Examples for this principle can be found on all levels, throughout history, and it is repeated today again in our midst.
The failure of the First Israel has led to the persecution of Jews throughout the world during the past two millennia. Due to Christians as Second Israel not really representing the way of Heaven after having become recognized as state religion and becoming more and more corrupt, a new religion arose in the form of the Muslim faith which began to persecute Christians, a situation which has continued until today.
When ungodly behaviour infiltrated the hearts of Muslim leaders and Christian priests and pastors did not repent and become humble to serve the poor, Communism arose with the goal of eliminating any kind of religion from the face of the earth, which could be stopped due to the Victory over Communism initiated by the Lord of the Second Advent and the CAUSA activities to educate leaders in the Western world.
On external levels the advancement of the communist tyranny could be stopped with the fall of the iron curtain but on the spiritual level it continued to grow and expand because the Third Israel did not take the teaching of Godism which was presented as counterproposal to communism to heart and failed to practice this precious content which True Father outlined in his speech "Perfection of the True Self and the Safe Settlement of the Family" on March 5, 1995 where he explained:
"Godism represents absolute True Love-ism, absolute True Life-ism, absolute True Lineage-ism, and absolute True Conscience-ism. Headwing thought means True Parentism, that is, you should become True Parents and fulfill Tribal Messiahship.
What are 'True Parents'? You all must become True Parents. That being the case, do you want to become a tribal messiah or a racial messiah or a National Messiah?"
We have not focused on True Love-ism and therefore our Heavenly Father/Mother could not support our Movement any more. The situation has become even so bad that when a National Messiah developed a website with thousands of references to Heart and True Love (heartandtruelove.com) the leadership of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification refused to pass the link on to our members around the world.
Even worse, when this National Messiah initiated together with a Tribal Messiah the gathering of testimonies of brothers and sisters concerning True Love an official memo was sent out by the European Office which reached also other continents, telling members that Einari Peura and Nikolaus Beutl have no permission to invite them to share about their understanding and experiences of True Love.
In the guest book of the unique place in the worldwide web where these testimonies will be published you find for example the following comment: "Thank you for creating this wonderful website! This is a sacred place where together we can rejoice in the true love of God. I am happy to be a part of this journey with all of my brothers and sisters here."
Instead of promoting Godism which is True Love-ism the leadership of our Movement in Europe opposed it with some leaders even refusing to talk with Einari and me as the ones who are promoting a clear awareness of the great value of focusing on Heart and True Love. As we reached out in the neighbouring region of the Northeast continent we were even faced with not getting permission to attend the Sunday Service or being thrown out of our Peace embassy, never to return there again.
In this series you have learned a little bit about what kind of leaders are running our Movement in that region which has been for decades under the rule of communist tyrants, culminating now in the reign of a person who has perfected the satanic art of gaining control over our members in that part of the world.
As a Second Generation child Jin Pal Chung is following the pattern which was established by First Generation leaders of our Movement in Korea and on other continents by our Korean elders, which even became manifested in the land of freedom, the United States of America as we all know well, visible in the total centralization of following one person and one way, established under the name of Lovin' Life Ministries.
About the overall development in our American Movement one elder member wrote the following comment: "I hate to say it, but I think we Americans deserve the description [name of one brother] outlines here. Back in 1974, when I joined, we were called brothers and sisters. The only highly- honored term was 'This is a BLESSED sister (or brother.)'
In lectures, it was explained that Christianity was disunited, and that churches had failed due to their skewed understanding that Jesus was God, or that the messiah was a supernatural miracle producer. Our interpretation was so down to earth -- a regular man who shares God's heart, gets married, has a family that is centered on God. We shared a vision of uniting religions, uniting science and religion, and uniting the races, being one family of folks from every nation, a living United Nations. I was thrilled to work with brothers and sisters from Europe, Japan and Latin America. Our hope was a loving world family, composed of smaller God-centered families.
Our lives were tough but exciting, 8 sleeping bags to a room, living out of suitcases, traveling and teaching and fundraising. Then, we started seeing a certain leadership mentality begin, with guys in suits telling others what to do. The seminary seemed to become a breeding ground for a religious hierarchy, and it seemed like everyone wanted an ecclesiastical title. Soon, we began to hear people given titles from the old structures we had previously disparaged: reverends, doctors, bishops, and then all levels of geographic leaders (city, state, regional, and continental!) Titles seemed to accompany expectations of a certain lifestyle. Korean 'leaders' had arrived in the U.S., not as the humble fundraisers of Japan or the eclectic IOWC members from Europe, (in other words, fellow brothers and sisters) but as privileged beings from the start. The 'upwardly mobile' set saw this as the goal; rise up the ladder, get the perks.
Our former lives as 'fulltime missionaries' transitioned as we had families, with many of us working in regular jobs or living in communities, doing home church. Some, however, seemed to cling to the 'fulltime' description, but not as a missionary, lecturer, or fundraiser, only as a 'pastor.' Suddenly, we had Sunday services, tithing, emergency donation requests for the latest tour or campaign. Home church was dropped from the common vernacular.
Then, it was the rise of segmented organizations: Women/Youth/Martial Artists/Fishermen/Media/Ministers/Boat Builders/Scientists. Every organization became an employment source for the burgeoning group of 'fulltime leaders.' (This was an oxymoron; they were usually leaders only in the sense of organizing events and having tiny staffs who did most of the work.)
As time passed, as organizations became defunct or were de-funded, this group needed to justify their positions and their value, either by jumping to the next 'wave' of campaigns, or by getting more and more degrees, titles, and positions. We have seen certain people go from being a 'leader' of a ministerial group to a political activist group, and from there to a media role...all without any experience in the new area. There has never been any requirement for educational or professional abilities for these sideways promotions; credibility is attached to having been part of the leadership clique. Forget things like integrity, family standards, or accountability. Most have never written a business plan, gained donorship, or won hearts through innovative effort or service. (There were notable exceptions, of course. I'm speaking of general trends.)
The US movement became top-heavy, dry and stagnant. Not only were people not attracted to our ideas, but we were losing more people than ever came in. We got to the point of having identical audiences for the many speeches and events: we would see the same people invited as 'women leaders' and 'martial artists' and 'NGO leaders' and 'Christian Ministers.' We re-invited people we knew to be charlatans; fawned over people with invented titles; cultivated a group of perpetual guests.
We couldn't insist on integrity in others because we had no integrity ourselves. Faking it -- being impostors -- had become so prevalent that we could not stand the scrutiny of anyone with a real body of work, so we gravitated to those who were also faking it.
The culmination of the sad decline of our movement was Lovin' Live Ministries. Whereas the state or city or regional leaders at least were physically present, and to some degree, known by their constituency, we became a nation where we gathered to watch a video screen, like worshipping a video 'Big Sister.' A monolithic national structure deliberately suppressed and banned any independent services, anyone else giving a sermon. Pastors were ordered to stop having their own services, or they would be fired. Musical performances could not replace the musical stylings of Ben and his band, unless Lovin' Live Ministries gave specific permission. The audience adulation and the self-promoting sermons replaced any honest spiritual conversation or expression.
I am guilty. I felt no spirit, I saw all this happening, I felt this was a warping of God's true call...but I was tired of trying to oppose these things, so I simply withdrew. Many others, like me, felt this was their only option. We quietly went about our business, occasionally checking back to see if things had changed, but we believed the message that this was True Parent's direction.' Privately, we admitted to each other that we found it fake, dead, disturbing. But it seemed that this was all considered kosher.
Poor Father. The revelations of the enormous scam that had been perpetrated on us and on True Parents came just as he was leaving the earth. Wave after wave of information began to reveal the degree to which we had let ourselves be deceived and diverted from our core beliefs. We were guilty of letting false guides, false teachings, false idols, take over our movement. Lovin' Live Ministries was the cap, but the process started years before Hyun Jin Moon was anywhere near the public scene. We Americans did not stand up -- not for God, not for humanity, not for our families. We were vulnerable to liars because we didn't honour the truth.
Having recounted all this, I feel a sadness and a lot of questions. We lost our way. How to get back? I really don't know if it's possible." Should we not take this clear outline of what has become a reality in our midst to heart and realize that history is repeating in front of our eyes, in our midst, because we are too weak to stand up against the wrongdoings and evil which has crept into our Movement? Am I really the only one who is fighting against the corruption (and evil) in the hearts of our leaders while nearly all others are sleeping?
