January 12, 2008
Northeast Ohio Family Church
Our Prayer Breakfast for January 12, 2008 was held at the International Assembly of Living Way Christians of St.Thomas on Cleveland's east side. Bishop Cheryl Reed is the pastor and was the host for the Saturday morning event. This gathering was focused especially on commemorating the legacy of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. and the theme was "One Family Under God". It was organized by our district Co-convener Dr. Thelma D. Johnson.
About 30 people gathered at the beautifully set tables for a delicious breakfast cooked by Bishop Reed and her friends. After some wonderful songs, the keynote speaker, Reverend Vernell L. Young, from Live Ministry, spoke on the topic of family. The Holy Blessing Ceremony was led by Reverend Joel Lindstrom along with other couples and families.
It was a beautiful and powerful event. One minister was feeling sick at one point and everyone gathered around him to pray. The spirit of love was amazing and strong. Our friend was healed and Bishop Reed, who has invested much heart and effort for this city, encouraged all in attendance to take the initiative to reach out more to our beloved Cleveland and make it a better place in 2008.
Several ministers showed interest in joining ACLC and all became very inspired to work hard for great victories in the new year. Dr.King's spirit really shined in our presence this day, but with a new added message of One Family Under God! Many thanks go to all the precious friends who made this event a success by their hard work, attendance and prayers.
