The Words of the Biddle Family |
District 6 Prayer Breakfast Report
Keiko Biddle
April 12, 2008
Our monthly prayer breakfast was held once again at the Fairfax Place in Cleveland. 30 people gathered. As we entered the room, the beautifully decorated tables, the smell of sausage and eggs, and the sound of ministers talking and laughing made us feel so welcomed. The registration and breakfast started and more friends joined us as the morning passed. The breakfast began with a prayer by Rev. Stevenson, our emcee for us this month. After sharing a wonderful breakfast, testimonies were given.
The video "One Family Under God" was shown. With that theme, our keynote speaker Rev. Phyllis Jackson shared that only with God’s love, can we make one world family. Her bold yet loving message brought everyone together in heart. Rev. Stevenson showed his deep love toward God and Jesus and placed the whole program in the bosom of that holy love. It finished with beautiful closing remarks by Rev. Dorothy Burton. It was a beautiful spring morning event.
We are thankful especially to Dr. Thelma Johnson for her consistent devotion in making these programs successful and consistently inviting wonderful people to be sharing fellowship with our greater community of interfaith circle. It’s often a challenge for the ministers to attend this kind of event continuously; however, they keep coming and we are so fortunate to know them and to share such good times with them all. It is surely a new age of unity and hope! Thank-you goes also to our precious second generation choir group. You are incredible. Finally, we thank our wonderful sisters who came from Columbus, driving almost three hours to be with us. It was good to have sister Gloria Laurent, Ohio ACLC Coordinator, presenting the membership drive this time.
Our God is an Awesome God. All the time!
