The Words of the Biddle Family |
This month our prayer breakfast was held at the Fairfax Place in Cleveland. Every time we gather at this wonderful place, we are impressed by the bright spirit of this dining room, the “upper room” of this nursing facility. The theme this month was “Celebrating Mothers” and some of our ministers brought their mothers, both physical and spiritual mothers. There were 25 people altogether. The keynote speaker was Rev. Dorothy Burton, who is a long time Cleveland ACLC member.
Breakfast started with a welcoming message by Rev. Joel Lindstrom. During the breakfast, a video introducing the Global Peace Festival was shown. The Honorable Nathaniel Martin welcomed everyone and introduced the emcee, Dr. Thelma Johnson. Some testimonies were shared. Many of our attendees expressed gratitude for their loving and even life-saving mothers. Some words easily brought tears to our eyes.
Elder Walton presented a strong and heartfelt membership drive. Rev. Burton shared the heart of the mother who works desperately to save her children, bringing them back to God. She explained about the mission of Eve as a sister, daughter, wife, and mother called to save Able and Cain. All grandmothers and mothers present really felt elevated and respected for their important position. Rev. Burton regularly attends the Women In Ministry conference call, which is held every other Monday. We could feel that her prayer is always with all women. Holy Blessing was done and love offering was taken. It ended with the Benediction by Rev. Bruce Biddle.
Thank you, Dr. Johnson, who organized and brought beautiful flowers for all the mothers. As always, our appreciation goes to members of the second generation who support us by helping to receive guests and with other responsibilities.
