The Words of the Clarke Family |
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
With repentance and at the same time gratitude I would like to express my heart to all of you.
First, I want you to know how I understood that our True Father is the Messiah. When I first heard the Divine Principle as the only Congress woman in Suriname in 1975 it was very clear to me that Rev. Moon was a very special person. When I was given the Divine Principle book and saw his picture with his kind eyes looking at me, I asked the lecturer who this man really was. She tried to brush it away with "he is just our pastor." (At that time we were not allowed to tell people who listened to the Divine Principle for the first time who Rev. Moon was; they had to figure it out through prayer.) It was the third day of the workshop when at one moment I looked at that picture again and saw that the faces of True Father and Jesus were blended into one. Then I knew for sure that this man was the only Messiah to come, and that there would be no other after him. I was convinced!
There have been all kinds of discouraging email messages circling around regarding our True Parents and the True Family. The most recent one was about the "so-called letter" from Hyo Jin Nim from spirit world and a letter written by Hoon Mo Nim to our True Parents. The moment I read the letter from Hyo Jin Nim I knew for sure that it was coming from him. However, the writer of a recent disparaging email claimed that it was false, and the report of Hoon Mo Nim as well. Even if the statement that Hoon Mo Nim did not want to come before True Parents to read the letter is true, there must have been a reason for it.
If True Parents, highest authority in our Church, made the decision, with Heavenly Father's approval, that their youngest son has to become their heir, then all of us, including the older brother, should unite and support the younger brother.
Let us go back to the story of Jacob and Esau. Jacob received the birthright with the help of his mother Rebecca. Isaac gave the birthright to Jacob, in absolute unity with God, instead of giving it to his older son Esau. This was God's plan. Esau, in the position of Cain, was not approved by God and therefore was not eligible to inherit the birthright from his father. It went to Jacob, in the position of Abel, instead. Despite his initial misgivings, in the end Esau completely united with his younger brother.
Each and every one of us has his or her own view regarding the situation between Hyun Jin Nim and our True Parents. I cannot pass judgment on either Hyun Jin Nim nor Rev. Kwak. Our dear brother Hyun Jin Nim is in a state of uncertainty right now, but he loves his parents and siblings very much. Rev. Kwak has been our True Parents most trusted disciple but is currently also in a wrong state of mind. Our True Parents gave their most precious son to his most precious daughter. We don't know why Rev. Kwak detached himself from True Parents, but he needs our love and prayers, too.
True Parents are unwavering in their approval of Hyung Jin Nim and in their decision to assign to him the mission of International President. It was an absolute decision made by Heavenly Father and True Parents. Please let us repent for doubting True Father's state of mind before God and True Parents.
Let us obey True Parents Declaration with Absolute Faith, Absolute Love, and Absolute Obedience. We must unite absolutely! True Father is not getting younger. At the age of 92 he is not sitting still. Let us keep praying and take responsibility by fully supporting our True Parents. Sisters in particular must remember the victory of Lea and Rachel. Historical circumstances are re-enacted and restored within True Family. We should not repeat the same mistakes that were made in the past. Adam, Noah, Abraham and Moses were all central figures whom God used in His Providence of Restoration. We have learned that even though they were obedient to the Will, they still failed in the end because Satan has always been misleading those with whom God worked to fulfill His Will. Let us prove to the world and to Satan that we can repent and beg for forgiveness.
Dear brothers and sisters, please forgive me for approaching you in this way, but my heart is filled with tears for the pain we are causing our True Parents' hearts. Their hearts have been broken, and they long for the return of their precious son. Let us take this to heart and continuously pray and work harder than ever before to bring good results for our True Parents and all of the True Family.
Thank you for reading this letter. May God Bless you and your family abundantly. With humility and with love in my heart for you all, I remain.
Albertina Clarke
