Dear Blessed Couples,
By now you have probably heard about the upcoming Blessing and are wondering, “What is this all about?” or “Why does it cost so much?!” I thought I would write a letter and share with you my understanding.
Father is offering the October 14th Blessing as a special world-wide condition. Our Heavenly Parent, God, wants to Bless the whole world. Father is asking us to stand with him and represent the 6 billion people of the world as an offering, so that God can indeed claim the world.
In our life of faith we are often asked to do challenging things. That seems to be God’s way! I think back to the story of Noah in the Bible and how outrageous and implausible the request must have seemed at the time. However, it was a critical offering that had to be made, regardless of circumstance. This Blessing represents our chance to step up and enter the Ark with True Parents. Faith is a precious thing. This morning at Hoon Dok Hae Father said, “Faith in True Parents is what gives us life and even a small condition of believing in Father will allow Heaven to hold you.”
Father is advanced in age and yet he is so amazingly dynamic and invested. At Hoon Dok Hae he also talked about how every night he lies down thinking this could be his last night and how desperate he is, and we should be, to do God’s work. When I hear things like that it’s a wake up call for me.
I feel we are fortunate to be able to participate in this offering. I know for many of you the financial offering presents a barrier. Like any offering it is an offering, not a required admission ticket. I know I don’t really comprehend or appreciate the debt that Father has paid to win the world or the extent of his offering. However, the $1,000 represents my portion of responsibility, my opportunity and privilege to participate together with True Parents in their efforts to do God’s will. The various struggles I encounter in order to give such a donation allows me to connect with Father’s offering. God trusts you and knows what you can offer. Please attend and offer what you can with a happy heart because God is grateful to you and appreciates the beauty of your offering. Take some time to discuss together how you can support True Parents, as a couple.
