The Words of the Cromwell Family |
No one could have expected what happened on Friday, March 27, 2009, in the Cheon Hwa Goong (a church building in Las Vegas). About 150 leaders, including many Boon Bong Wangs (Peace King national representatives), continental directors, U.S. district directors, organizational leaders, and key worldwide leaders of our movement, were crammed into the living room in anticipation of celebrating True Parents Day. This was to be the 50th celebration of True Parents Day, counting True Parents’ Holy Wedding in 1960. Members of the True Family including Ye Jin Nim, In Jin Nim, Kook Jin Nim, Kwon Jin Nim, Sun Jin Nim and Hyung Jin Nim were also there preparing for True Parents’ arrival.
When True Parents entered, there was something different than a typical holy day celebration. It was apparent that something was terribly wrong as Father started severely scolding some of the leaders. Father was not wearing his microphone, so most people in the room could not understand what was happening. Even if he had been wearing his mike, probably no one but the leaders he was scolding would truly know what was going on, since Father doesn’t usually explain everything that he is saying when he scolds, but rather he strongly expresses how he feels about what the person he is scolding did.
Father continued scolding leaders while everyone stood listening and watching as much as they could. Though it was not easy to behold, it was an important time of education for the world leaders in attendance. If we don’t truly understand the heart of our parents, we can’t truly attend them. Father is so serious in front of God to fulfill his mission, yet he cannot feasibly do it alone. He needs leaders, especially Korean leaders who can understand his language (and therefore his heart), to carry out what needs to be done and relate with others who cannot understand his heart as deeply or easily. Tragically, there is no one else with the same determination or heart of attendance toward God as True Father, so he must take so much time to educate our leaders to be able to confront the world and bring it to back to God and True Parents.
All of Father’s projects and the work that he has done so far has such deep meaning and is really only fully understandable by him. Every aspect of what he is doing is pointed and directed toward the completion of his mission by January 13, 2013. Father promised that he knows that great blessings will come to the world if he can complete his mission. As Blessed Central Families, we have such a great responsibility to represent True Parents to the world. In order to do that, we must first connect to True Parents in heart.
How can one truly connect with True Parents in heart? Is it through hearing Father telling us about God’s ideal, about the Fall, about restoration? Of course, that is part of it, but the real deal is when Father is going all out and expressing everything he is really feeling. What happened yesterday at the Cheon Hwa Goong was that kind of day. Altogether, Father spoke for over 10 hours, in total control not only of his spirit and body but over the entire spiritual atmosphere in the building. I believe that he was fighting with the evil spirit world over the leaders: smashing Satan away and restoring us, though we ourselves do not even realize the difference until it has been done and remain ignorant of how to keep it from happening again. Unless we can learn about and fight the spirit world on our own, we have to rely on True Parents and True Family to protect us and keep us on the right track.
That can be done only through total unity with True Parents. Total unity with True Parents can come about only when we totally become zero; when our thoughts are reduced to nothing, when our desires are not important. Yesterday, all in attendance had to forget about eating until after 5pm. People had to hold in their physical waste products, and none was more merciless to himself (or herself) than True Father himself. He never left the room the whole time.
The words that Father uttered were not as important as his spirit and his heart, which he poured out on all in attendance. Father’s mission is unchanging, and it’s just a matter of what type of method he chooses to use in each different situation. At this time, he is really hoping to utilize Las Vegas, where he has invested much of his heart. Everywhere Father is, no matter what he is doing, he is always offering sincere devotion to God. Those conditions of devotion have accumulated in Las Vegas and now Father wants to give that spiritual food, that heavenly fortune, to as many people as possible.
How can any of us know God’s heart? Father had to go through an unimaginable course, through which he could not only understand and resonate with God’s heart but also could liberate and establish the liberated authority of God. We have no right to ever judge Father or what he does. If we feel the inclination to judge him, that is a sign that we have to do some serious self-examination and find out where we went wrong -- what thought or feeling we let grow unchecked in our minds and hearts that allowed us to build a wall between us and True Father in our hearts.
It was an unfathomable blessing to attend True Father yesterday, as he is our true parent and, through understanding him, we can indirectly come to understand God. God does not want to put us all through as difficult a course as he put Father through. God wants us to connect to Him through True Father. We should never forget that it is more painful for a parent to watch a child going through pain than for the child to experience his or her own pain.
