The Words of the Cromwell Family |
The term True Parents is controversial because it essentially implies that one's own physical parents are not one's true parents. But anyone can see or realize that his or her own physical parents are truly his/her parents.
Who is the false parent that is implied? It is Satan. Love, life and lineage has been dominated by Satan throughout human history every since the Fall of Man. No matter how good people tried to be, there was part of their hearts that naturally tended toward evil - hence the term fallen nature.
True Parents come to restore humankind and to eradicate evil and sin. They come with true life, true love and true lineage, which means love, life and lineage that has no connection whatsoever with Satan. Again, here the distinction of love, life and lineage being true has to do with who is the owner. Allowing God to be the owner of one's love, life and lineage is only possible through receiving the Blessing, which is given by the True Parents.
It seems that the Blessing will evolve through the collective efforts of the True Children, in unity with True Parents.
It's so sad to me that I understand so little about True Parents. There are so many days that I forget or cannot feel who True Parents are. I ask myself, "Is it really necessary to bow to True Parents before I go out to work today?" Sometimes I can't feel anything in my heart when I think of True Parents. I think about True Parents' recent Hoon Dok Hae sessions, which were very long, but Father spent a lot of time talking about things that almost no one could understand.
Yet I've had so many good experiences with True Parents in my life. Why do I need to feel True Parents' love to believe? That is not the way of a true son. A true son should love his parents because they are his parents, not because he is constantly feeling their love. If he is fortunate enough to meet True Parents, his whole life should be an offering to True Parents. But I'm usually most worried about how to pay the bills.
It's not always easy to do God's work. But I must get to the place where I can keep doing it with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, regardless of what I'm feeling or receiving. If I can't go to that level, then I will always be vulnerable and easily hit by Satan. I must be so strong inside that I can never let Satan have anything to grab onto.
I don't think True Father had much to be grateful for when he was in prison, when important people in his life betrayed or left him, when his children died, etc. But he overcome those situations with gratitude and love.
I feel that several levels of relationships are necessary. We need to develop our relationships with God, but we must also develop our relationships with True Father. But that is not enough. We must also develop our relationships with all the True Children. Actually, all those relationships basically develop through a process consisting of setting conditions so that God, True Father and True Children can give something to us. It's not in direct relationships with them that we can give back to them. The way to give back is only through giving to others. We must develop true love within ourselves so that we can give to others, representing God, True Father and True Children.
If we are weak, then our main concern is money. We are then doing things for the sake of receiving money. It's not really for God and True Parents. However, if we are strong, then we are not working for the sake of receiving money. It's to build our relationships with God and True Father and True Children.
