The Words of the Cromwell Family |
Members around the United States linked up through Internet broadcast on Thursday to a truly historical worldwide Unificationist celebration, as Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon's 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated in the Coronation and True Parents' Golden Wedding Anniversary for the Establishment of the Abel UN in the Cheon Jeong Gung in Chung Pyung, Korea (at 8:00 a.m. on April 29 Korea time).
At the direction of the emcee, Universal Peace Federation Korea President Dr. Sun Jo Hwang, who welcomed those who had come to attend True Parents on this special day, everyone joined together in singing the Cheon Il Guk national anthem Blessing of Glory. In the report prayer, Unification Church Korea President Dr. Joon Ho Seuk reported, "The purpose of the 6,000-year history of the Providence of Restoration was to find the one and only True Parents. Without restoring True Parents, there can be no true children. Without true children, there can be no true family, no true tribe, people, nation, world or cosmos… [therefore,] it is such a great blessing that True Parents could live to their golden wedding anniversary."
In the reading of a prayer originally given by his father, Unification Church International President Rev. Hyung Jin Moon recited, "I have learned that among all the good things on this earth, there is nothing more precious than to connect to Your original heart. Enable us to yearn infinitely for that relationship, knowing that when we truly experience Your love, we will have no regrets even if we are deprived of everything in this world… Please allow us to feel Your heart as we open the doors to our hearts and please let us hear Your voice which is calling to us from our own hearts in order to find our lost bodies. Please allow us to become people who can bow our heads as we feel the history of difficulty and labor that You invested in order to restore each of us."
Dr. Hwang explained that this ceremony had been prepared as a traditional Korean royal wedding, including the jeon-an-lye and sang-gyeon-lye. He announced the entrance of 50 Blessed Couple attendants who were to welcome the entrance of the True Family.
The first part of the ceremony was the jeon-an-lye, when Kook Jin Nim and In Jin Nim came in representing the True Children to present wooden carvings of a pair of wild geese. They were preceded by two of True Parents' grandchildren, who carried traditional Korean lanterns with red-and-blue silk shades.
The entrance of True Parents was announced as the entrance of the bride and groom of today's ceremony. True Parents entered, followed by the True Children and their families, and stood facing each other in front of the jeon-an table on which the pair of wooden wild geese had been placed. True Parents bowed to each other in the tradition of sang-gyeon-lye.
The ceremony continued with representative bows to True Parents by True Children, True Grandchildren, representatives of 1st and 2nd Generation Blessed Families, representatives of the three providential nations, representatives of the six continents of the world, representatives of the central providential faiths, representatives of all the boonbongwangs and national messiahs in the world, representatives of True Parents' relatives, representatives of the worldwide Abel realm, representatives of the worldwide Cain realm, and representatives of the entire spirit world.
Two of True Parents' grandchildren, Shin Jun Nim and Shin Wol Nim, offered a flower bouquet to True Parents. Hyung Jin Nim and Kook Jin Nim offered the sipjangseng (ten traditional Symbols of Longevity) to True Parents. Finally, Rev. Jeong Og Eu led everyone in three cheers of Eog Man Sei.
