True Parents doing mansei, February 23, Cheon Jeong Gung Museum.

February 23 (lunar calendar: January 6), True Parents' Birthday and the Commemorative Celebration for True Father's 88th Birthday (Misu), was held at the Meeting Room of Cheon Jeong Gung Museum with True Parents and the True Children. On this day, True Father turned 88 years old and True Mother 65 years old. Many leaders, former prime ministers, members of the parliament, and honorable guests from around the world came to celebrate. And through a live broadcast at Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, many members celebrated this precious and important day.

At 7:00 a.m. True Parents were welcomed with a great applause as they came on to the stage. After lighting the Holy Candles, they sat on their chair. Followed by bows from the True Children, each representative delegates of Blessed Families bowed to True Parents. After the reciting of the Family Pledge, Rev. Chung-hwan Kwak, International President of IIFWP, did the representative prayer. After the cutting the holy cake and partaking the holy food, True Parents gave each member of the True Family holy food to eat. Then Rev. Kwak read Father's speech from his 70th Birthday. The service ended with 3 cheers of Eok-manse by Rev. Do-sun Lim, General President of FFWPU-Japan.

The Commemorative Ceremony began at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Sun-jo Hwang, President of FFWPU-Korea, as the emcee. After True Parents came on to the stage in the Meeting Room of Cheon Jeong Gung Museum, all participants offered a bow. Then there was a singing of the Cheon Il Guk National Anthem (Blessing of the Holy Ground), Opening Prayer by Rev. Chang-shik Yang, Regional President of North America 1, commemorative address by Rev. Kwak and a congratulatory address by 2 distinguished guests.

The first guest was Hon. Tsakhim Elbegdorj, Former Prime Minister of Mongolia, who had been the prime minister of Mongolia twice and has welcomed True Parents at a nation level in the past. The 2nd guest to offer a congratulatory address was Hon. Su-seong Lee, Former Prime Minister of the South Korea. In his address he said, 'I really express my gratitude to True Parents who have endured through many problems for the sole purpose of world peace and happiness to humanity, which is the eternal goal for humankind.' After the congratulatory address, a representative Japanese blessed couple presented flowers to True Parents.

In the order of Korea, Japan, America, Canada, Asia, South America, Africa, Middle East, Europe, East-North Continent, Oceania, and North Korea, 12 gifts were presented to True Parents by each regional representatives. Rev. Hwang then read a congratulatory message from Dalai Lama, out of many other messages that were sent to congratulate this day for True Parents.

Then there was an offering of 'New World Scripture" and 15 different commemorative publications presented to True Parents by Rev. Kwak and President Yeong-hwi Kim,

Also there was a gift of Cheon Seong Gyeong that True Parents gave to 7 representatives (Russia, Philippines, Malaysia, Nepal, Brazil, Albania, Lithuania) and Peace Messages (43 Languages) to Dr. Min-ha Kim, President of Ambassadors for Peace Central Committee, and to Archbishop Milingo.

For about an hour, Father read his new speech titled, 'God's Ideal Family and the Responsibility the Citizens of Cheon Il Guk Are Called to Fulfill'. This speech is a general compilation of the peace messages of the summer 3 generation tour over the past 2 years. Some subheadings include God's Purpose of Creation, True Parents' life, and our mission in the Era after the Coming of Heaven.

In his speech, Father talked about being 88 years old. He said:

Rev. Moon's life begins from today. Because I still have to fulfill the mission as the humanity's True Parent to save humankind who are still suffering in the realm of Fall. We are in the Era after the Coming of Heaven. I intend to lead everyone to save humankind at a universal level this year. Don't hesitate. Take my hand and let's fulfill our mission received from the Heavens!

After the speech, all participants stood up and applauded.

At 12:20 p.m. the Commemorative Ceremony ended with 3 cheers of Eok-manse by Rev. Katsumi Otsuka, President of FFWPU-Japan.

The Congratulatory Banquet began from 5:00 p.m. at Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center.
