From May 20 to 26, Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim toured in Benin, Congo of Africa and was welcomed by the local members. It is the 2nd time for Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim to tour in Africa, and both times were to hold the ‘Special Workshop for the New Beginning of Cheon Il Guk Blessed Families’ (New Beginning Workshop).
This time, Dae Mo Nim went to Congo and Benin, holding the New Beginning Workshop for 3 days at each location. Dae Mo Nim was in Benin from May 20 to 22 and held the New Beginning Workshop at Palais des Congres with around 1,600 members attending. From May 23 to 25, Dae Mo Nim was in Congo and held the workshop at Congo Church with around 3,000 members attending the prestigious workshop. On the third day of the New Beginning Workshop she held the Holy Wine Ceremony as well as the Holy Burning Ceremony. Also there were graces of Ancestor Liberation Ceremony and the Fulfillment of Wishes Papers.
In her speech, Dae Mo Nim explained the value of the New Beginning Workshop, ‘“our life from now must change into a lifestyle of good, that God and True Parents truly wishes for.” Also, she said, “Please make happy families, and become people that God and True Parents can love.”
On the last day in Congo’s New Beginning Workshop, on the 25th, Rev. Eiji Tokuno, Africa Continental Director (Current President of FFWPU-Japan), gave Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim a Gratitude Tile, as a representative of all African members.
Dae Mo Nim also visited blessed families who lived in the outskirts of Ganvie, Benin, and also attended the ceremony of anointing a village chief (King) for Ambassador of Peace.
Also, Dae Mo Nim gave the donation that was collected during the ‘Ssang Hab Jubilee Years of 7th and 8th Years Purification Azalea Festival Special Great Works’ (May 1 -- 4) for establishing educational institutions for the 2nd generation in Africa.
This tour was held for those African blessed families who couldn’t attend the New Beginning Workshop that was held in Zambia, Kenya and Cote d’lvoire (November 2006 ~ February 2007).
