Note: The following words were spoken by Dae Mo Nim on August 17, 2008 at the combined Closing Ceremony for ‘2008 Korean Sunghwa Students Chung Pyung 14-day Special Workshop’ (8/4-17), ‘2008 Japanese Sunghwa Students Chung Pyung 14-day Special Workshop’ (8/4-17), and the ‘Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop for International 2nd Generation’ (7/9-8/17).

You are the future dream of our church. Therefore, with that in our mind, the Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center and each nation’s 2nd Generation Department worked together to prepare this workshop so that you could learn and experience various education and culture.
Do your best as Students!
During your workshop, you participated the ‘Ssang Hab Jubilee Years of the 7th and 8th Years, Commemorative Great Workshop for the 900th Chung Pyung Special Workshop’, and it was a really precious Great Workshop.
In the program of this Great Workshop, there was a ‘Prayer for the Entrance Examination Students’ held at the Jeongshim Won (Prayer Hall). I looked into the contents that you wrote and it was really sincere. With the heart of wanting to help and fulfill your sincere prayers I am currently offering much devotion.
You are students. The duty of a student is to study really hard. You should set up a precise goal in the future, ‘I must do this ‘thing’ in the future’, and go towards that dream.
Heavenly Father created so that 2nd and 3rd generation will have intelligence. If you set up a goal and do your best towards it, you can definitely fulfill it. Those 2nd generations who don’t have concentration and patience should do more of their best and offer sincere devotion.
I’m sure that there are students who just don’t want to study and want to become adults but it is really important for you to make this time a meaningful time. Giving it your best now will make you into a responsible person in the future in all fields.
True Parents is conveying much words to the general people. You must study really hard and work in very important fields in the future so that you can help True Parents and the True Children. In that way, the providence can be fulfilled.
When you return to your house, first of all, you should always have the heart to attend God and True Parents as well as in your daily life. You also must have the heart of gratitude towards your parents who gave birth to you.
The heart of a parent is one that always want to protect their child with love and interest. Especially, they are worried if you would be influenced by the outside world. Don’t think that your parents are scolding you all the time but understand that they love you and are worried for you and think that they are grateful parents. Do you understand? (“Yes!”)
You mustn’t lie to your parents. Falsenesses are Satan’s personality. Whatever sin you have committed, you should talk to your parents and find a way to solve it together. It’s wrong to think that ‘Parents do not know about young generation’. They know it all too well that is why they are so worried for you. To create your culture I prepared the ‘Chungshim Music Festival’ and the ‘Food Cultural Festival’. Remove the thought of ‘My parents do not know anything about me’ and must start thinking, ‘They love me deeply and want me to become a great person’. Is that clear? (“Yes!”)
You mustn’t drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. When you enter university chances of drinking with your friends might increase but still you mustn’t drink alcohol.
Evil spirits are floating in the drinks. Drinking alcohol will deteriorate your health but more than that it makes you vulnerable to illicit spirits. When that happens, your life will rather than moving towards God will become closer to Satan. Satan’s purpose is to make you Fall, using whatever is necessary. You mustn’t drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes.
Also, until you are blessed you mustn’t go out with the opposite sex and protect your purity for you ideal partner.
On Sundays’ where do you have to go? (“Church!”) The Church is a place where you go to receive grace and blessings from God and to report your daily life. You mustn’t forget to go to the church on Sundays. Do you understand? (“Yes!”)
You must become pure people. Also, your posture must be proper. Satan tends to relate to people who don’t wear nice clothes.
From now, you must change the way you think. We must become Sunghwa students who have the confidence that ‘We can do anything’, since we have God, True Parents, the angels and the Absolute Good Spirits with us at all times. Do you understand? (“Yes!”)
My beloved 2nd generations from Japan! I understand your heart. Compared to other members in the world your parents are really working for the providence but that is all for you and your ancestors. Please know that fact and become filial sons and daughters before your parents. You must make your parents not to worry the 2nd generations but to live their life with joy by looking at your life. Do all 2nd generations understand this? (“Yes!”) Can you do this? (“Yes!”)
Please tell others so that many more of your friends can attend the next year’s Chung Pyung 14-day Sunghwa Student Workshop.
For the 2nd generations not to follow the general world’s culture, we must have our own culture therefore I created this holy ground so that you could have fun. I promise to create more things to enjoy next year.
The number of 2nd generations that attends the workshop must increase and through the change of seeing better things and changing their lifestyle completely can we establish our culture.
I wish that you can lead a good life so that the general people can come and visit the culture we have.
Thank you for coming to this occasion. I will offer sincere devotion so that your prayers and sincere devotion that you offered here would be fulfilled.
I feel sorry to part from you. I sincerely pray that God and True Parents’ love and blessings will be with you at all times.
