Great time at Sokcho!

On July 16, the members of the ‘2009 Chung Pyung 40-day Special Workshop for International Blessed Children’ went to ‘Cheon Jeong Won’ (Heavenly Garden), Sokcho for 2 days as a gift from Dae Mo Nim for her beloved 2nd and 3rd Generations. Every year, Dae Mo Nim has much love and interest for the International 2nd Generation Workshop and this year she gave an early treat to the members. ‘Cheon Jeong Won’ is located North-West of Korea, a 2 and a half hour drive from Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center.

‘Cheon Jeong Won’ is the place where True Parents offered sincere devotion and restored their health after the helicopter accident. It’s also a golf course called Pine Ridge. Cheon Jeong Won means Heavenly Garden, and is a place of hope and happiness. True Parents often come to Cheon Jeong Won and rest and offer sincere devotion whenever they come to Korea.

With 4 buses, the 177 members of the workshop headed off to Cheon Jeong Won after participating the morning Holy Song Session.

After having fun on the bus for few hours, the children arrived at ‘Iris’, a restraunt in the Cheon Jeong Won facility. There, hamburgers were prepared to fill the hungry children. All of the children were really happy to eat food that wasn’t Korean Kimchi, and they would go for 2nds and 3rds.

After lunch, members quickly got on the bus and went to the beach. Cheon Jeong Won is located 15 minutes from the coastline and one of the programs for the members was to have great fun on the beach. After some exercise and photo sessions, members jumped into the water, still cold, but enjoyed it. For around 2 hours, the children swam, played with the Frisbee, played a game of soccer, and etc.

For this trip, there were several staff that came along to help and Rev. Yeong-ho Ha, President of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center came on behalf of Dae Mo Nim who couldn’t come because of her busy schedule.

Dinner was served in the Pine Ridge Club House where members enjoyed buffet style dinner. After listening to Mr. Jae-bong Kim, President of Pine Ridge, testimony about the Cheon Jeong Won, members enjoyed delicious food and several children got on to the stage and sang several beautiful songs.

After a brief tour around the golf course and taking commemorative photographs in front of True Parents’ calligraphy writing of ‘Cheon Jeong Won’, the children were invited to dip themselves in the spa. After such a long and intense day of activities, the children were glad to have a bath and enjoyed the facility.

This day, the children were given keys to condos and slept separately around at 11 o’clock.
