Visit to Cheon Jeong Won (Pine Ridge Resort): 1st Day

From July 10 to 12, for 2 nights and 3 days, the members of the '2011 Chung Pyung 40-day Special Workshop for International Blessed Children' and the '2011 Chung Pyung 40-day Special Workshop for International University Students' went on a tour to visit Cheon Jeong Won (Pine Ridge Resort) where True Parents stayed for a week to recover from the tragic Helicopter accidents. Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim had prepared this tour so that the children could visit the place where True Parents had substantially recovered from the accident as well as rest from the jet lags and get to know each other.

After attending the morning Chanyang Yeoksa (Holy Song Session), members gathered at the calligraphy stone and departed at 10:30 am to Seokcho. After a 3 hour trip with a lunch break, the members arrived at the Unification Observatory, within a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Mr. In-pyo Moon, lecturer from the Progress Department, gathered all the members at a special hall overlooking at the DMZ. In the morning of this day, the members had received a lecture from Mr. Michael Callahan about the Korean War. So remembering this lecture, members listened to Mr. Moon's information about the situation.

After an opening representative prayer by a member of the University Workshop, Mr. Callahan shared his experience and thoughts of War.

Then there was a singing of the Unification Holy Song then a unison prayer was offered by the group. With the hope of unification of North and South Korea the children prayed hard with tears flowing down their cheek. After that there was a 30 minute break time to take photographs and look at North Korea and then after a commemorative photo taking by each workshop, the children were then guided to the 6.25 War Exhibition Center.

At 5:10 pm, the bus left for Cheon Jeong Won (Pine Ridge Resort) and arrived at around 6:30 pm where they were welcomed by delicious buffet style food at the Iris restaurant.

Then, Rev. Myeong-gwan Lee, General Director of Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center joined the members and took them on a brief tour of Pine Ridge Resort. A staff from Pine Ridge Resort joined the members and explained the significant land features and surrounding nature of Pine Ridge Resort. After taking a commemorative photo taking with Rev. Lee in front of True Parents' calligraphy writing stone 'Cheon Jeong Won', members then gathered behind True Parents' residence inside the resort. After offering a prayer and visiting True Parents' fishing stand, members went back to their rooms and finished the 1st day.
