2nd 'Unification Sports Festival'

On the afternoon of the 2nd day, 22nd, of the '2011 Autumn Chung Pyung Special Great Works' the 'Unification Sports Festival' was held in front of the Tree of Love plaza. Many members filled the plaza around the Tree of Love under the clear blue sky and had a really amazing time with many members overcoming race, age, and nationalities. There were two teams, the 'Shim Jeong (heart)' team and the 'Tongil' (unification) team.

Passionate Cheering and Fun Games

The sports festival was divided into two teams, the 'Shim Jeong team (blue team) which was made up of members from Korea, Japan, North America, South America, Oceania, and Africa and the Tongil team (white team) with members from Korea, Japan, Asia and European countries. The festival was lead by the two emcees, Lecturer Toshiaki Yokoi and Lecturer In-pyo Moon from Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center who spoke in Korean, Japanese and English. These two brilliant emcees wore 'super-man' and 'bat-man' costumes last year and this year they appeared on stage wearing Kanfu panda and Bruce Lee costumes.

The most exciting game was 'passing the big ball' which was participated by all people. Both teams made a very long line and a big ball was passed up and down the line by all the attending members. Also there was a Korean style wrestling called 'Sirum' and was really popular with all the foreign members.

Other than this there were programs such as; dance for stretching muscles, ladies dance battle, breaking the balloon, standing the balloon and 10 other programs were held over a 2 and a half hour period. With the 'breaking the balloon' program, dizzy people were running all over the place which was really entertaining for the people.

There were also a time for cheering battle where both teams followed their cheer leaders and did fun battles. Everybody cheered for every single person whether they were winning or losing the particular program.

After all the games and before the announcing of the winning team there was a dance of removing evil spirits. This dance of removing evil spirits is a special time for children who can remove spirits by dancing and this was planned by Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim. The adults were not so keen on dancing it at first but as they saw their children enjoying it then all participants started to join the dance.

Tongil team was the winner for the unification sports festival and all members who participated received stationary sets and a sports towel. The losing Shim Jeong team also received the same prize.
