Life after the Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop

The following is an edited version of Dae Mo Nim's words spoken at the closing ceremony of 170th Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop on Feb. 27, 2013 at the 5th floor of Chinhwa Building. (Edited: Department of Education and Planning, Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center)

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for attending and doing your best for this 170th Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop. During your 40-day workshop you were able to attend the Foundation Day.

Understanding Myself

Through this 40-day workshop, you learnt the Divine Principle, God's words and the spirit world. You were also able have deeper understanding of yourself through the Chanyang, prayer at the Jeongshim Won Prayer Hall, and the Tree of Blessing. It's hard to understand one's self back home when there are many distractions, however, you've had so much time to pray and understand yourself here and made resolutions and determinations to change your own life.

Your identity is of being the sons and daughters of Heavenly Parents and True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. Therefore, you have the responsibility to live a life centering on the Principle in order to satisfy our parents.

Your responsibility is not just activities and duties at the church. It is about your way of thinking and your daily lifestyle is also included in this responsibility that you must fulfill as the sons and daughters of heavenly parents and True Parents. After the Foundation Day, as blessed families we have entered an era where we cannot just simply follow the lives of people in the general world.

Lifestyle must change

There was a member who offered much sincere devotions and conditions doing many church activities but opposite to their public life their personal life was completely against a principled life. This member's personal life was centered on fallen nature. The indemnity for such members becomes greater, thus, causing major problems.

What is the era that we welcomed after the Foundation Day? It is the Cheon Il Guk era. Therefore, as people of Cheon Il Guk your life must change for the better; Your lifestyle must be centered on Heavenly Parents and True Parents and fulfill your responsibility as sons and daughters of filial piety. You must always check your self if you are in the position of receiving blessing or not.

Checking one's self

Therefore, as you serve Heavenly Parents and True Parents at the beginning and end of your day you must have a time to check your heart with your conscience. If you don't do this then you wouldn't understand and realize where you stand. So I ask you after returning to your homes that you will check your self once a day. Would you do this? ("Yes!") Just as you check your own self with the mirror everyday to see if your appearance is good, you must check your internal side with the mirror of conscience.

Since the beginning of Chung Pyung Works, every single day I would have a time to check my self centering on Heavenly Parents. I would always ask my self if Heavenly Parents were able to have satisfaction over my life. I would always thoroughly pray and receive an answer to my questions. You should always ask Heavenly Parents and True Parents in your prayers for what is wrong about your self. If you don't fix that problem then you cannot become individuals and families who can move heavenly fortune.

You should always offer your best to receive great feedback from heavenly parents and True Parents. If you couldn't achieve of what you were supposed to then you should repent and then do your best the following day so heavenly parents could believe that you could do it.

At the end of your day you should report to heavenly parents and True Parents of your daily deeds. They will stop believing in you if you cannot fulfill the promises that you've made with them in your previous prayers. So it is very important to watch your self and check where you stand each day.

Becoming the Center of your Family

When we return back from our workshop we must become the center of our family. Now we know the spirit world, the principle and many other things for creating a true family with true love. You must become the center of the activity at home and create harmony between your spouse, children and parents.

In doing so your family will be a true family. Spread this message and show that a true family can be created and eventually establish the heavenly kingdom on earth and in heaven. Do you understand? ("Yes.")

When you return home you have to send other people to come and attend the Chung Pyung 40-day workshop. The more members attend this workshop will mean a better life for all of us. Our children will have a beautiful life and a peaceful world. Once again, thank you for attending this Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop and Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center will always be here for you to help you and your family to prosper and have joy.
