Pine Ridge Resort Tour: Visit to Cheon Jeon Won

Unification of North and South Korea

From 6.1 to 6.3 by the heavenly calendar, 1st year of Cheon Il Guk (July 8-10) for 3 days, the members of the Chung Pyung 40-day Special Workshop for International Teenagers and University Students visited Pine Ridge Resort (Cheon Jeon Won). The purpose of this tour is not only to rest from the long flights and jet lags that most of the students struggle from but to inherit the heart of True Parents whom recovered from the Helicopter accident back in 2008. It is also a time for the members to get to know each other as well.

After attending the morning Chanyang Yeoksa session at Chung Pyung Training Center, the members departed Chung Pyung at 10:00 am. After the arrival at around 12:00 pm at Pine Ridge Resort the members first ate lunch at the restaurant 'Iris', buffet style.

The schedule of the first day was to visit Seorak Mountain National Park and hike up to 'Shakable Rock' but it was a very bad weather with heavy rains that we had to cancel that visit and go to Unification Observatory to see North Korea.

Upon the arrival, the members quickly gathered at the lecture room at the Unification Observatory. Rev. Rainer Fuchs, Europe District, vice-president, who is the lecturer for the middle school/high school students stood in front of the members and spoke briefly about the history of the separation of North and South Korea. Rev. Rainer explained to pain and sorrow of the Korean people and how much work and sincere devotion True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind has invested for the unification of the North and South.

After his words, Mr. In-pyo Moon, Lecturer from Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, gathered the members outside and after singing the holy song 'Unification' in English and Korean offered a unison prayer.

Facing the reality of the division of one nation, the children prayed sincerely for the re-unification of a great nation.

Even though it was raining and cloudy, we were able to see the Gumgamsan mountains through the telescope.

After the Unification Observatory the children came back to Pine Ridge Resort at around 7:00 pm and enjoyed their evening meal. After dinner they were arranged to rooms for the next 2 nights and enjoyed the spa and sauna at the resort.
