Report from David Eaton on the Inter-religious Peace Sports Festival Concert

Greetings from Inter-religious Peace Sports Festival in Korea.
Last night the IPSF presented a very successful concert in the cultural center at SMU featuring ___ and the Meong Gyung Chamber Orchestra of Seoul, conducted by David Eaton. Four-hundred guests attended including VIPs from the Cheon An area. Dr. Chul Hee Han, who served as executive producer, was thrilled with the result saying, "We built our arts center for exactly this purpose, music and art for peace!" IPSF director John Gerhing commented, "It was a taste of the Kingdom of Heaven."
Kiah Victoria, representing the youth aspect of the festival, sang "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from the Lion King with the orchestra. ___ then sang several arias representing various music traditions including Korea, Japan, South America, Europe, America and a short excerpt from "Halelu."
A video, highlighting the cultural initiatives in North Korea and Israel (with the Middle East Peace Initiative) was presented as well.
After Intermission, dance troupes from Sri Lanka, Thailand and Taiwan present colorful and exciting international dances to standing ovations!
Several VIPs from other nations who are attending the IFSP requested that we present similar concerts in their countries centered on the ideals of UPF and IPSF.
