Subject: Demonstration on Schengen in Berlin

Agenda: March to the Ministry of Interior and Rally in front of the Ministry of Interior

Dear Brothers and Sisters!

After the court refused to regard the decision of the Ministry of Interior not to let Rev. Moon and his wife enter Germany and consequently a growing number of European nations as a restriction on religious liberty, we have decided to file a legal objection against this decision and if necessary go up to the Constitutional Court, resp. the European Court.

To go this path is necessary to show our determination, but also to use all the possibilities of the legal process. The federal government as well as the two main churches would be more than happy to see us give up at this point and become resigned. We don’t want to do them this favor, but on the contrary do everything that this unjust decision will fall back on them and be revised. However, since the way through the courts requires time (up to 3 years are possible) and is not enough for us to voice all our indignation about this injustice, I have decided in agreement with Pres. Sa and our regional leader Peter Zöhrer to hold a large demonstration against the entry ban in Berlin in front of the Ministry of Interior.

The event will be sponsored by the Unification Church, not the Family Federation. We will first assemble in Berlin and then walk to the Ministry of Interior in order to communicate to the public our view of the situation. We will carry posters that we prepare in order to accuse Minister of Interior, Schily, but also the churches.

The public has a right to be informed about the injustice and the hypocrisy that is coming from that side in this case. Additionally, we can carry pictures of True Parents and our Unification Church Symbol on our posters. I am looking forward to speak out on behalf of our True Parents without inhibition.

At this stage we are working to get the permits and are preparing the details, like information about how and where one can stay at low costs in Berlin and how to travel and depart from there. We have already heard that there is great readiness to join this demonstration among brothers and sisters of neighboring European countries. No question, the more we are the greater the impact. But even if we were only 300 - we can utter our determination courageously in a loud voice. Actually, I expect the number of participants to be much higher.

I ask you to reserve this date and think about slogans, which we can carry around on our posters in Berlin. (Themes like: religious freedom, honest politics, churches and what they should do or not do.
