I am sad for Heavenly Father for much confusion has been created by Hyun Jin Nim's recent actions. Those actions started about a year ago when his sister In Jin Nim was clarified as being the leader here in North America. The clarification was needed because Hyun Jin Nim was giving some directions as if he were the leader here when he only had a UPF position, albeit an important one.
Since then a distance has developed when Father clarified that he, Hyun Jin Nim. was not the North American leader. He was quite angry at being put in a back seat -- but Father has his reasons. I believe it was a providential moment to restore Cain and Abel unity in the True Family.
As a result the Kims (Byung Woo Kim and his wife) were then replaced as they made some mistake in appearing to support Hyun Jin Nim over In Jin Nim. Now Hyun Jin Nim has not gone to recent meetings Father has called -- that was a big mistake. This has broken Father's heart. Hyun Jin Nim has even fired the leaders in the Washington Times, which Father had picked and has taken his own control (as on legal documents he had such authority). That was a coup and some members have mistakenly supported him. But the real authority comes from Father and Hyun Jin Nim has not worked out his difficulties with some of his father's recent decisions.
We pray for his victory in this Cain position so that he may rise up to achieve his full leadership potential BUT it must be under the principled way. Cain made his offering with a sincere heart but didn't Heavenly Father 'reject' it for a providential reason? (He had to go through Abel) I think Hyun Jin Nim has to figure out why certain decisions were made. As good as his motivation may be to do GPF for Heaven he is no longer fully united and not under Father's immediate direction. This, I believe, is the recent reason for Father making Hyung Jin Nim the head of UPF.
But Hyun Jin Nim has continued and started a splinter providence in the image of the GPF. I wish he had somehow made unity and offering through Father then we wouldn't have this confusion. Perhaps he should have invited his brother Hyung Jin Nim to speak -- then the event could have been blessed. Anyway I think members need to understand the sequence of events so that they may not find themselves on the wrong side of the providence. If I could talk with Michael [Zablan] I would suggest that he go above Dr. Yong, if he can't trust him, and talk to Dr. Seuk who is HSA-UWC president in Korea or call Rev. Kwak. One can be emotionally close to someone (Michael to Hyun Jin Nim or leaders to Michael) but that is not enough. Many times people have followed the Cain direction and were not aware it was happening. Once we know the direction and who is Abel then we need to digest it and support it or at least gracefully step aside.
