Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are pleased to announce two very exciting training programs that are taking place at the Lovin’ Life Learning Center in New York City in September and October. Since Lovin’ Life Ministries began in April of 2009, there has been a concerted effort to develop a systematized educational track for teaching the Divine Principle and the principles that govern our lives. Two new exciting programs, The Living Love Relationship Seminar and the Lasting Imprint Seminar, both of which were born out of the National Witnessing Summit process, have become consistent bedrocks of the Lovin’ Life Learning Center.
The vision of the Lovin’ Life Learning Center is to develop and model new and exciting programs that can be replicated throughout the country. With that in mind, the National Education Department is hosting separate training programs for anyone that is interested in learning how to facilitate the Living Love Relationship Seminar, or teach the Lasting Imprint Seminar. Part of our training will be to participate in Lovin’ Life Ministries’ Sunday Worship Service and experience first hand the power of In Jin Nim’s sermon and her ability to reach the heart of her audience, giving us a vision for how we can reshape our ministries across the country.
The Living Love Relationship Seminar is a one-day experiential program rooted in Divine Principle concepts that is designed to give people the tools to transform their daily relationships. The LLRS transcends the typical teacher-centered mode of education (such as lecturing) and uses a variety of educational methodologies such as guided brainstorming, question and answer, paired discussions, and the use of videos to deliver the content of the seminar. Using these various teaching techniques, the LLRS strategy is to play on the original minds of the participants to bring out principled concepts such as the Four Realms of Heart, the parent-child relationship, the existence of God, the results of the fall, and many others.
The Lasting Imprint Seminar is a more direct teaching of the Divine Principle, developed with a target young adult audience in mind. Instead of using the Bible and other religious scriptures as the foundation for teaching the basic skeleton of the Principle (Creation, Fall, Restoration), the Lasting Imprint Seminar takes a more scientific, common sense approach to explaining The Original Imprint on the world (Principle of Creation), The Human Imprint (The Fall), and The Lasting Imprint we can leave on the world (Principles of Restoration). The presentation slides are fully upgraded and make use of emotive images rather than static diagrams to convey the content. Each slide has presentations notes to go along with the images.
Both programs are fully scripted so that anyone who goes through our weekend training course can teach the program in their respective area. Every individual that attends the training course will have the opportunity to witness the program modeled by one of the course trainers. In addition, each participant will receive a CD-ROM with the program script, presentation slides, videos, registration forms, evaluation forms, and all other related materials relevant to the program. Moreover, the course trainers will guide participants in learning how to deliver specific content, and facilitate different parts of the program. All participants will also have ample time to practice facilitating the program themselves.
Details for the two different training programs are below. We would like to encourage each district to sponsor at least one inspired individual from their area to learn how to present these programs. We are positive that each program will help improve the witnessing efforts taking place in your district by providing solid educational programs to which you would be proud to bring your friends.
