Irish HARP Report

Well, back in October most of the HARPies went to an event, organized by one of our Peace Ambassadors, called "Run for Unity" which was for young people. We got there and found it was full of little kids! But we did the run (it was more of a walk) and one of our Jr. HARP members won! Elisa Miresse (8 years old), and she was interviewed by a TV station that was there and won a small trophy. So it was quite successful.

Our eldest brother figures left this year for STF and SET. This called for an intense HARP meeting to discuss future plans and reappointing roles. We thought wed make use of a new house weve purchased to go on a fishing trip soon, seeing as we enjoyed our last one during the summer. We are also concentrating on the Jr. HARPies more because they have more in numbers and we feel we can pass on our skills to them. One thing weve started is Music Sunday schools, where Im teaching them basic music skills and have started giving a few of them piano lessons. Also, one of our members has been teaching them Korean, and last week the adults had their first lesson. Soon well all be fluent!

Ireland just had their event last Sunday, November 5th. A lot of the HARPies worked really hard witnessing and doing phone calls and we had some really good people at the actual event, even though the numbers didnt turn out as good as we had hoped. Overall, we like to think weve been quite active recently and hope to keep it up.

Until next month, thats it from Ireland.
