A forum on Spirituality and Values of Martial Arts Towards World Peace was held on October 24th (UN day) at the UN Building. Two world renowned Grand Masters, William Chen from Tai chi, Mikhail Ryabko of Systema as well as Master Reddick from Aikido, and Master Iwasaki and Belmonte from Unified Martial Arts performed demonstrations and presented their various perspectives on how martial arts can contribute to global peace. Also many stressed the point that martial artists need to seekig for commonalities instead of differences in order to work together for a greater purpose.

The event was well organized by three organizations: 1) Pax Christi International 2) World Martial Arts Federation, and 3) IRFF, and was sponsored by the NGO Committee of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns
