Dear Family,
True Parents, on May 18th, the 5th anniversary of the Jerusalem Declaration, have asked Dr. Chang Shik Yang to become President of FFWPU Korea. Dr. and Mrs. Yang have victoriously completed their duties as the Continental Directors for North America Region I. A new Continental Director will come to North America Region I.
Two farewell and victory services will be held for Dr. Yang and his family. The first will be held at the Washington Family Church on Columbia Rd. and 16th St. N.W. on Sunday, May 18, at 10:30 AM. All Sunday services in the Washington Area for Sunday, May 18th are to be combined as one service at the Washington Family Church. This service will focus on the Washington D.C. district.
The second and final victory and farewell service will be held in New York at the Grand Ballroom of the New Yorker Hotel (Tentative location) on Tuesday, May 20th at 7 pm. Dr. Yang will depart for Korea immediately after the Tuesday service. We ask that all leaders and heads of organizations come to New York for the Tuesday evening service.
We share profound gratitude for the development of the Elder Son Nation centering on True Parents and True Family under the direction of Dr. Chang Shik Yang. He became Continental Director in June of 1999.
The American movement has completely transformed under his leadership. We pledge to carry on and expand all the foundations in the Sphere of Life and the Public Sector that God and True Parents have inspired in America under the leadership and ministry of our beloved leader and central figure Dr. Chang Shik Yang.
